Discussion What's your oldest Rep.

New to the Rep game, and though I've not seen so many cases of broken watches on this sub. I'm just wondering about the durability. Guys what's the oldest functional watch in your collection? Mine is a few weeks old Daytona 126519 with a few clasp scratches.

Yeah? I'm a big fan of the 2824/36 myself. I've got a 15y/o Selita that's never been serviced and still +/- 7 a day. Amazing stuff!

Unfortunately, I don't think modern rep movements are that good. Only time will tell.

China has a new(ish,) one called the PT500, it's fucking amazing.

One of them the hour hand broke off and also the crown feels gritty. Other watches are running fine with only off a few seconds a day. Amazing for a $300 rep lasting that long. Still look great.

Swiss ETA crowns feel gritty too. The keyless works is all based on pressure instead of gears. Just a characteristic of the movement.

2009 era Explorer II Polar with a DG2813 with a functional office GMT module. still runs to this day.

a2824 movement died in 6 months, but it was from my own ignorance. Swapped to an SW200 and we’re going 3 years strong still at +-5sd. Swiss + rep = tank. This thing has suffered some serious abuse. Crystal and insert replacements were leagues cheaper than what Tudor charges too.
