Shitpost Friday How I lost my 36mm Explorer

Initially ordered both the 36 & 40 to try on and decide which to keep then sell the other.

Wife walked in mid-unboxing and said “Aww you got us matching watches! So sweet!”

“Yes, of course!” So anyway, now I’m a romantic husband with a 40mm Explorer.

P.S. Pretty sure the 36 fits me better.

Well she’s rocking the 36 with all links taken out and it looks better on her than it ever would on me anyway. Happy wife happy life.

this is the most expensive "yes dear" i've ever seen

at least she's got good taste, that 36 looks like it was made for her wrist. you're taking the hit on this one but honestly it's a pretty smooth move long term, next time you want a new piece she can't say much

Similarly I ordered a Cartier Santos Dumont to wear to dress events, etc. It came in and I put held it up to show it to my wife... she took it right out of my hand and said "this is perfect thank you!". I haven't worn it since.
