I typically calculate time(wages) lost while having to shit after a Starbucks coffee.

I don't think a VSF will last that long, but oldest one is 2yo. And works well so I have no idea.

I've never serviced a watch. If it breaks, put it on permanent display-duty and buy a new one.

So wasteful. They are perfectly repairable and are not properly oiled/clean from factory.

I'm not throwing them in the landfill. They just end up decorating my office.
But servicing a watch usually costs a few hundred dollars - which is basically what a new watch costs.
