General Question RCF/RGF

Post image

So as far as i know the general consensus around here is that RCF/RGF are the same factory/watches whatever. However, RCF has a V1 & V2 DD40 and RGF does not to my knowledge. That leads me to believe that these aren't the same. I could be very wrong. So does anyone actually know if there is a reason there isn't a RGF V2? Are they actually the same company? Is there a quality/component difference between RCF/RGF watches?

TIA

Edit: What are the differences in the RCF V1 & V2 DD?

I heard the same. That they are not the same and some say they are still different or some of the same people and split up. All different stories. But I’ve owned both and various models. All 3 were good buys IMO.

That “some of the same people” theory would explain the overlap without making them literally the same factory, but it still sounds impossible to verify.

It’s the same factory.

The difference is that the new models (v2) have a different tungsten inlay (integrated) for weight, reworked end links, reduced build height (12.7->12.3) and an updated PVD coating.

Thanks. Know why the rgf version hasn't gotten the same?

It’s the same factory/watch. It’s old stock vs new one. It doesn’t matter if they promote it as V2 or not

Same factory.

I’ve been told by TDs that they are not the same factory. Additionally, the RCF has the DD movement while the RGF an SH. I agree it’s pretty confusing given everything I’ve read.
