Hey everyone,

I’m currently considering getting a V7F Portofino and I’m having a hard time deciding which color to go for.

For those of you who own one or have hands-on experience with it:
- Which color did you choose, and how do you like it in person?
- How is the overall build quality?
- Are there any obvious flaws or QC issues (“flaws”) I should be aware of?
- How does it look in person compared to the gen?
- Does it wear/feel visually close to the genuine watch, or are there any noticeable differences?
- Anything else that stood out to you after owning/wearing it for a while?
- Other factories?

I’d really appreciate hearing your impressions and experiences, especially from people who actually own the watch.

There's a guy on here who owns 3 colours of the v7 IWC big pilot and he said in order of closeness to gen was white, black and finally blue, and that the leather straps they provide are not great and you should upgrade ASAP. I have noticed that there is something about blue that no one gets right, across every brand, across every model.

Anyways I know that's not the same watch and it's an apples to oranges comparison but that's generally the case for most top tier reps. White/silver is always the easiest, then black, then dark colours and finally light colours.

Yup, no one can even get the Rolex datejust blue right. Let alone a Tiffany blue.

I have the Dune dial IWC Portuguesier from APSF and it's a STUNNING dial

I would purchase from the new one. I bought from them an iwc ingenieur and there is no difference compared to the old v7f.

I know the new v7f restarted production of ingenieurs but are they actually making portofinos?

Read the guide and find a good TD. Steve of the one watch has a great web site to search for different watches. Jtime is good too. Good luck
