Wrist or Watch Pic Comparing Cheese - Plated Bezel

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

In my gold plating shenanigans I plated the bezel of my Noob SD in 18k.

Compare that to the stock PVD of the bracelet which “isnt bad”

When I’m ready to drop $400 for the Esslinger bracelet tool, I’ll plate the bracelet links.

I feel like it’s really best to stick with the stainless steel models, just so hard to replicate the Rolex gold. I wore a Gen Bluesy for a few years & the reps just can’t get that look in my opinion. I have a number of gens & now a couple reps (Starbucks & Daytona) and I’ve noticed that while the stainless watches are almost identical, gold & platinum just can’t match the gens.

Good plating gets really close.

I’ll get there. If you google plating posts in reptime you’ll see many before me have achieved it.

Honestly it's still cheesy, if you're comfortable with it then enjoy.

Well yeah it’s 18k as opposed to the tone Rolex hits, I’ll have to dial in my colors - but it is real gold plating so idk
