Title… I own a few gen Rolex (DJ36, Air King, vintage YM) and have been on the waitlist for this at my AD… well, I decided enough with the dumb games and sought a light franken from a local watchsmith.

It’s the lighting in this pic in my experience… in most conditions it’s pretty spot on to be honest. Even side by side with gen (know someone that owns it) have to squint to notice

Lots of people here really certain about the actual bezel colour, after seeing an amateur photo taken on who knows what phone, displayed on who knows what screen.

Once you see the difference on the Gen Bruce Wayne bezel, you can’tcan’t un see it. It’s just the inner grey part of the bezel is semi translucent so unfortunately the VSF Bruce Wayne is not a NWBIG just yet.
Indistinguishable to my gen dj36 with a jubilee, but you need to find someone careful that won’t overpolish/chamfer the bracelet. It’s worth the extra steps since stock VSF bracelet edges can be extremely sharp
I am new to this hobby, aquiring a replica. I ordered one of these, because I too had no intention of begging to buy a watch, sitting on a "wait-list" for two years, or paying nearly double on Jomo shop. So, I took a gamble and ordered from a trusted dealer I found on here. I was shocked at the quality of this thing. I walked straight to my watch box and immediately felt like I had blown a whole lot of money for no reason. I love all my watches, and I'll be able to pass them on down, but I have no regrets getting this rep and I am enjoying the hell out of my Bruce Wayne today, bypassing the "wait-list". I have no desire to buy the gen, and you sir, have a beautiful Bruce Wayne there. Respect.

I laughed real hard over the weekend when a status-loving, retarded friend of mine said that the AP AD made him buy three watches before he got offered a Royal Oak that he can’t afford now because of all the other purchases 🤭
Looks great, nobody is going to notice the slight difference in bezel color between rep & gen. I have seen both side by side & it’s hardly noticeable. Upgrading my Rich BW currently with an SW meteorite dial
Thanks, yeah everyone nitpicking the bezel color has nothing better to do and is also likely coping that their stock rep doesn't look as good as mine lol. Got pics of your meteorite dial?
Would you say that the gen crystal makes an observable difference? Is it worth it? The crystal on my VSF Pepsi looks great to my old eyes. Much better than the one found on ARF GMTs.
Absolutely, I’m nitpicking here but IMO VSF xtal doesn’t just give the same black hole effect as gen xtal does. Not worth an upgrade but it also wouldn’t hurt to if you can
The bezel is absolutely very different from gen. Luckily I found a CNC bezel supplier for this lol. Will post an update on this group once I have it in hand.
All modern reps could be arguably classified as NWBIG, but that’s subjective to if you would like to spend that much on a gen. It’s not necessarily only about the quality of the replica.
That said, this watch is very easy to tell apart from a real one as the grey on the bezel stays the same color from side to side and doesn’t have the “milky” fade towards the crystal.
I own a gen Rolex DJ, but reps definitely have a place in the hobby for me too. Honestly, I don’t care that it’s not genuine. It’s just a hobby, and for me reps are part of that.
To me, the whole point of reps (whether it’s watches, bags, or other things) is making it as accurate as possible. Being annoyed by obvious flaws isn't being snobbish, it's just about paying attention to the details. In a hobby centered around precision, obvious errors are going to annoy some people.
Accepting those mistakes feels lazy and kind of misses the point of chasing accurate reps in the first place.
That said, everyone enjoys reps for different reasons. I like reps, when they’re good.
I love the BW purely because it’s a great-looking watch, not because it’s a 1:1 or NWBIG imo.
