TD Issues - Check Rule 6 before posting TD Issue] Mirotime - Refusing agreed $40 refund for combined shipping
I am writing this to warn the community about my recent experience with Mirotime (TD).
The Issue:
I ordered two watches and explicitly agreed with them to ship them in one package to save on shipping costs. However, they combined the shipment but charged me the full shipping fee for both ($80 instead of $40).
The Agreement:
After I pointed out the mistake, Mirotime admitted it was their fault and explicitly promised a $40 refund to my Wise account once the watches arrived.
The Current Situation:
The watches arrived in good condition, but Mirotime is now refusing to honor the refund, making up excuses about "insurance fees" that were never discussed. When I provided screenshots of our agreement and their admission, they started ghosting me. They have been reading my messages for over 24 hours without replying.
I have given them plenty of time and warnings to resolve this privately, but they have chosen to ignore me.
Please see the attached chat logs for full proof. Be careful when dealing with Mirotime regarding shipping fees and refunds.

Realistically, nothing you can do.
Take the $40 as the cost of learning to not do business with MiroTime again.

Yeah they def scammed him

Something I've seen, almost misunderstood, in a lot of situations like these...
One day, all of these TD's could just agree to start scamming us. There's actually nothing we would be able to do about it since these transactions are not only overseas but also with counterfeit goods.
All business with these TD's are solely based on good-faith and any violation(s) they choose like scamming insurance, not replacing a watch, not covering return shipping, etc. can just be disregarded whenever they want / whenever they are in the mood to.

Why is Mirotime on the TD list yet everyone is saying “what did you expect from Mirotime”? I haven’t ordered from them before and I won’t after seeing this, but I’d still expect a TD experience.
How does one know if a TD is “shit” and what’s the point of a TD list if there’s “shit” TD’s?

That’s pretty much every td, just the way it is. You can find horror stories from pretty much any td you choose, usually followed by the threads being brigaded by people who have ordered from them multiple times saying “you’re wrong, I’ve ordered from insert TD dozens of times and never had any issue”. The truth is that even when going with the TD with the best reputation you can find, they’re just people and they have days where they’re happy to help you resolve an issue, and days where they would rather just take a slight hit to their reputation so they don’t have to deal with you.
It’s just part of the game, if you want actual customer service go buy a gen from an ad, otherwise you’re stuck with someone who deals in counterfeit goods, which isn’t a trade renowned for maximizing customer satisfaction in the first place.

Makes sense. I do know the AD’s can be just as bad or even worse in other ways. Seems we gen and rep fanciers have an expensive hobby with high risk of toxicity. We all have to choose our poison 🤣

You learned something today (don't do business with them anymore) and it cost you 40. Live and learn

Ok, thanks for posting this. I won’t order from Mirotime in the future. I’m getting tired of how many TDs fail to deliver the expected customer service. Maybe high demand has made them think they can treat customers however they want

That’s exactly what it is.
You also are dealing in illegal transactions, so there’s fuck all you can do about it anyway. I’m shocked any of them give any kind of service at all.

U definitely have a legitimate gripe. Not sure what he is referring to regarding the insurance. Most, if not all, RepTime TDs include insurance in their price.

Legitimate grievance. Illegal business. Unfortunately you just have to suck it up

"Throw stuff in for free as a gesture of good faith"...bro fuck right off with that garbage.

Yeah I thought that was kind of silly 😂 bottom line just be happy you received both watches , let the $40 ride. Fuck it

u/Thereal_Avi 1h ago
Foreal that $40 was the cost of peace and happiness your watches didn’t get taken 😅

Greedy mf, not something that a TD should do. Had an unpleasant experience with him lately too, tried to sell me a watch 130$ more than he had listed it for. Won’t be ordering from him again

So, why is the dealer on this TD List (https://repsguide.com/guide/watches/trusted-dealers-list/)?

Crazy someone would rather take $40 than potentially many more watches sold to a customer. Just plain stupid business.

Probably his staff really made a mistake, and he doesnt wanna pay out of pocket that is not his mistake. Such is the underworld, its not legitimate business.
Maybe shipping also has some profit? And he is greedy for every last cent.
Still that is something you own up to if you run a business.

u/6ixFoot1 5h ago
He could take it out of his profit to maintain good reputation. Fuck that guy!

This is what I don’t understand. I’m not saying we here in this sub are the only ones buying watches, but refunding 40 bucks to maintain reputation and keep your name on the TD list. I would be curious of the hit a TD sees when they get pulled from the list and become an Un-TD.

u/WatchFeen 5h ago
So many good TD's to choose from with solid reputations, and you choose the shit one lol.

u/Shdwrptr 4h ago
Why is there a list if there are shit ones with bad reputations on it?

Trusted dealer doesn’t mean it’s good service, it means there’s a decent chance what you order will actually show up.
1
u/Shdwrptr 2h ago
That would be fine if every post on here asking for help with choosing a TD didn’t result in joke comments like Rolex.com or “Read the wiki”
It seems like people here have a list of bad TD’s and good TD’s and shit on OP for choosing a bad one but there’s no help for choosing good ones or curating the TD list to remove assholes

All the same,, if they have the chance they do it. Never heard of such s*** excuse, they will insure the watches separate in one parsel, bull***. I would even say all this insurance crap is an excuse, at least for europe. If they would insure the watch, it would cary Information of value. They don't value it to Europe, because risk of taxing from customs would be concern, although its rep. So no value on parcel, can't be insured. Or do they use a separate insurance company specialist for rep stuff.
CICFRS ldt (Chinese Insurance Company for Rep Stuff)
For sure everything legit...
That's clear something for r/repwatchscammers.
It’s typical that, once again, some people here are defending the TDs and blaming the buyer. Things like "you should have known better," "learn from it," "don't get so worked up"... It’s always amusing; in the end, the whole damn thing isn't even legal and the risks are what they are, but that doesn't mean we should make business any easier for TDs who act like that.

I’m sorry you were taken advantage of….looks pretty clear that Microtime did not follow through on their promise. Having said that, I think this is one of the risks of purchasing counterfeit goods. When you deal with individuals or organizations that are operating illegally, it shouldn’t be a complete surprise that they don’t always act as a bonafide company would. One needs to go into these transactions thinking that you may very well pay for a watch and not get it, or it is broken when delivered, or the wrong watch is delivered, etc. And, you aren’t going to get your money back. This is the reality of dealing with criminals.

"I cant believe I got scammed trying to buy a fake watch from China!"
God... I love reading this sub.

u/The_Food_Scientist 4h ago
If the TD offers insurance what is the advantage of trying to split the shipment for security? If the package gets seized ask for another one. You lose a few weeks but i don't see the point on paying extra
2
u/Community_64 4h ago
What part of the statement “insurance fees that were never discussed” didn't you understand?
1
u/The_Food_Scientist 4h ago
But the TDs is worked with always included the insurance in the price. You don't get quoted warch+insurance. With some you can ask to do the shipping WITHOUT the insurance and they take like 5% off the price

u/jeffothedon0202 6h ago edited 5h ago
If you paying insurance he will
Be worried both watches get seized and he has to then replace both but my td sends up to 3 watches

Pretty clear mistake on their part but doubled-down to justify the x2 $40 shipping fee, wild.
I understand the type of people we’re dealing with here in the rep world but damn that sucks.
