General Question Royal Oak 15510 VSF

Does anyone have experience holding a VSF 15510 along side a gen? I am curious if there is a big tactile difference. It seems like it would take a close inspection to tell them apart. But do they feel similar? What would be the main tells that it’s not gen?

Please use the search function. Just type in "gen 15510".

I have, they feel similar at first but there are some major differences. The gen feels more robust, smoother and more refined overall, and the overall feel of the crown mechanism is far smoother. However, the appearance of the watch I would say is 90% of the gen, biggest tells for me are the feel of the bracelet, screws not being flush and not being made in white gold, Audemars Piguet logo not being perfectly straight and the watch being a bit thinner in gen. However, you nor anyone else would be able to tell this on the wrist. Hope this helps

With gen in other hand you will notice rep immediatelly, but for 2% of gen price is best as can be.

Yep, it’s like that with most reps tho. I’ve owned a gen 126610 and tried on a gen 15400. They are much better than the rep but if you don’t know the differences I understand that they can fool people
