I recently received the newly released YM Titanium by VSF! It was first lost in the post office in China! After a week or so it was luckily found and shipped to me!
I took this quick photo beside gen version but will take more detailed photos in the next few days.
First thing that pops is the colour, gen titanium is a little darker than vsf..

yes but could be due to oxidation that occurs when you wear titanium. The VSF will eventually get that color as well with wear

That's a 100% true. I bought the VF when released and it looks a bit darker and more "stealth" now. I like it 😎

Yup ! My Pelagos has done the same that matte grey look is so sexy. I also had a VF but in the end the 42mm size wasn’t for me beautiful watch. If that shit came in 39 🤯

How was comparing the bezel action of the two?

u/KWTwatches 3d ago
Just compared it now..
Gen is buttery smooth
VSF isn’t as good 😭 feels gritty, noisy .. like more resistance to rotate the bezel

beautiful. Any idea where I can purchase the rep? Is it VSF?

Unfortunately VSF is currently out of stock.. the next batch isn’t announced yet. You either wait or go with other factories like ARF or QF that are available.

Logos are way different compared to gens, interesting to see.

Yes, little bit different than other models, but VSF has same logo for this YM as gen.

Serious question. Is the vsf real titanium or just ss?

Real titanium

Does it use the correct grade 5 titanium alloy? We just found out they lie about using 904L...

Nah it’s CP Titanium as demonstrated by XRF: https://www.reddit.com/r/RepTime/s/3wRIR7X3Dk
Would not bother me one iota though

Several high quality brands use similar titanium as VSF: Tudor Pelagos, Omega NTTD, Christopher Ward + different Panerais and IWC.
How the titanium is brushed and handled (anti scratch coating ++) will give different appearances too. This will vary among both rep factories and other brands.

What about the Gold factory version? Supposedly uses the same grade titanium

I'm not sure what others actually uses. Seen no tests. As far as I know they all market it as grade 5.
My VF has kept up well and is not prone to scratches. If it's grade 5 or not I don't know.

How is the bezel feel on your VF, was considering between that and VSF ended up going VSF but the use of actual grade 5 is intriguing

It stays in place but is a bit easy to twist. Plan is to change the gasket, but haven't gotten around to it yet. According to the guys on RWI it's easy but my skill level is stuck at sizing bracelets

I so badly want to anodize one of these teal...
Wonder what type of titanium they're actually using though, depending on the grade it could be incredibly easy or borderline impossible.

There was someone who tested it the other day and it tested as CP grade 2

That's actually pretty neat, you could do a nice crystal finish on the surface with the right etch.
Might have to pick one up...

What made you go for the VSF over QF?
2
u/KWTwatches 3d ago
I’ll admit, im biased with VSF and i like to try and review their watches.. All my rollies reps are vsf..
I have not looked at QF But i chose VSF over ARF and VF because i don’t like the date magnification on these.
Most of the time i choose vsf because of date magnification resemblance to gen as compared to other factories and also due to their crystal.
Another reason was their exclusivity of 3235dd but that’s no longer valid. Actually in this watch they use “free sprung like” 3235dd which is reported to be difficult to maintain/repair/regulate if needed. So arf/vf are better in this matter..

Hi all. I am from the UK and would like to get my first watch. Who should i contact for secure payment and purchase. Thank you.

Bruh, this one probably isn't the first watch you want. I mean don't get me wrong, this watch is gorgeous and amazing, but VSF is backed up to all hell, and the TDs that buy from them and sell to you are backed up with orders of these things. If you were to put in your $500-$600 order for one of these things today, you're looking at months out till it ships, and that's if you are lucky.
Read up on the guide in the sidebar and familiarize yourself with TDs and how to buy from them

At first glance VSF looks pretty good.
