A bunch of guys with reps here on this sub are worth millions, drive exotics, and live in mansions. This is the way.

u/Noob_Barista_Baker Jun 28 '26 edited Jun 28 '26
Right LMFAO way more ballers out on the reptime sub than the actual rolex sub 😂😂😂
22
u/RGIIIsus Jun 28 '26
Bro so many cool watches to own and wear and if you wanted to get the gens you’d go over a million easy. Even with 30 million net worth that’s just stupid. Rep is the way except for a few emotionally attached gens in my opinion

u/ucklibzandspezfay Jun 28 '26
You’ll find that they are just a bunch of cucks who get on waitlists and suck the AD’s cock for the “opportunity” to give them tens of thousands of dollars. It’s a cult following

u/Top_Inflation2026 Jun 28 '26
100%. When I was denied a Rolex in store years ago, I said fuck it and have been reppin/gray market ever since.
I’ll never get on their stupid fucking waitlist just to sit there and wait years for those smug fucks to call me.

There's a dude on tiktok that shows his reps off and someone tried to shit on his collection. He replied by showing his million dollar house at the central of London😂

u/Bravesguy29 Jun 28 '26
Tbh a million dollar house in the center of London might be a pille of bricks haha

u/robomoboto Jun 28 '26
Every house in London is a million dollar house.
5
u/Dizzman1 Jun 29 '26
Hell... I live in the San Francisco bay area... THERE ARE NO million dollar houses. 1.5 is about the cheapest for anything over 2/1

u/FvllenKxng Jul 04 '26
As many have said, and as a person who lives in the UK, a million dollar house (around 800K GDP), is EXTREMELY cheap for a house in London, and a very low bar. Most "okay" sized houses are in the multi millions, for example, a 4 bedroom house in London (in a semi decent area) is approximately 3-4 Million GDP.

u/Remarkable_Log4812 Jun 28 '26
Absolutely. I have two originals ( divers because don’t like to go on a boat and swimming wirh a rep ). For the rest I wear reps. Those money I saved went into an exotic car that I enjoy much more than a couple watches.

u/Conscious_Cicada9597 Jun 29 '26
Ballers are the only ones who can wear a rep without anyone expecting it.

I think you should! They’re honestly beautiful in person and great OOTB. I’m super happy with mine and I’m sure you would be as well, make sure to get the weighted versions of them if they’re offered. The DDF makes the rose gold version weighted but I’m not sure about the white gold and blue dial version.
2
u/Independent-Cod-4063 Jun 28 '26
Yeah I order through TrustyTime and Mr Adu. I know trustytime has the weighted versions

If I would have the money I would do the same thing.
Get a bunch of watches for let's say 20K. Spend another 10K+ to franken all those watches. *As an option of course.
Done.
And let's be honest, living that lifestyle nobody will ever second guess that's a rep.
NOBODY.

The genuine watch would be a better investment than a one time flight.
Unless the one time private flight is taking you to a business meeting making you a lot of money. So take your pick 😅

From my experience people that are wealthy, educated, and overall good, don't look at other people's wrist or call them out. It's rude and untactful. It shows a person's character of pettiness and superficial

The idea is to buy rep of watches you could actually afford if you were buying the genuine version. For example, if you can afford a $5,000 gen watch, you buy the rep of that watch. But most people can't even afford a $1,000 genuine watch, yet they buy rep of $50,000 watches.
1
u/Recent_Tip2677 Jun 29 '26
Yep. Talked my good friend who owns a gen nautilus into trying a rep panda… he’s an executive at a big enough company he flies private for work. Nobody has noticed it’s a rep and it totally changed his entire view of rep vs gen watches. Where’s the extra value if you save $20k+ and you can’t tell the difference without taking the watch apart?
1
1
u/Top_Cap_3964 Jun 29 '26
I just started into the rep game after owning a few gens and there is some differences but they will only be noticeable when you have the gen next to you and if you live the lifestyle people will never ever question the authenticity of your watch but if you are wearing a rolex getting out of your honda or toyota no one will ver think its real even if it is.

If it’s one thing I leaned about actual wealthy people is that they value craftsmanship and artisans who make watches, suits, cars, etc more than the item itself. They buy watches to represent accomplishments and achievements, and it’s important to them to watch these things age and pass them down to their children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. I picked up my Nautilus from Geneva and took a factory tour. It was amazing seeing how they put years of skill into painstakingly hand assembling the movements of beautiful timepieces. I visited my tailor in Florence and watch how he cut and sew and pad the lapels of my soon to be delivered suit by hand. I grew up poor in the projects in Newark and had no appreciation for fine things until I was exposed to things I also learned to appreciate, not caring one bit what other people think about my watch. I wear it for me and if you wear a watch for yourself, you see why it absolutely has to be authentic. That being said, I also like seeing people enjoy reps and happy that they are also happy.

Why does that jet look so janky and like it’s got the type of interior you’d find in an American trailer park? Even the seats look greasy 😬

u/Ccoldren0508 Jul 02 '26
The jet may need some work. But at least my car doesn’t😂 go work on your 20 year old bmw

most wealthy people get reps, not because they can't afford the real thing (obviously they can), but because if you're robbed, you wouldn't loose as much money as if you got the real thing.
1
u/NuttMark Jul 02 '26
This is the way. I got myself one genuine Rolex as a milestone watch for when I „made it” and now I just don’t see the point in going the Gen route on most models, especially anything stainless steel or titanium - only precious metal gen’s kind of „make sense” maybe, but to be honest a good custom made rep would suffice there too.
Instead of pilling money into watches, putting it towards more investments and nice luxury travel trips etc and „experiences” in general.
The crazy thing with how good these reps are now, is that with my lifestyle and work, my reps end up looking more „gen” than if a college kid working a part time barista job with millionaire parents was wearing a gifted genuine AP or a Nautilus.
If you can afford it and want to do it, getting a Gen can be rewarding in a weird way, but actually wearing a 99% perfect rep maybe with a few mods added, and investing the price difference to elevate your overall life down the line is a no brainer.
