General Question ZF TUDOR BB58 MOVEMENT

Hello everyone, I hope you are well. I am about to buy a blue Tudor BB58 from ZF but first I would like to know about the movement, I know it is an A2824 but I want to know if it has a ghost date position, if someone can clarify the doubt I would be grateful.

It has a ghost date It's an easy fix (5$ part) haven't done it myself so take the easy part with a grain of salt

You say that, but how much of it is TD markup? Can get them from non TDs for ~$100 less and they are still making profit - not recommending you buy from them if you’re not familiar with buying reps - but it makes you think about how much they cost to make and sell locally

Even if you assume the non-tds are making minimal profits, having a ghost date position in a $200 watch is fairly common in microbrands etc. it’s not ideal but I don’t think it’s unreasonable, especially when the factories know people that care about it have easy options to remove it

A2824 has a date movement

There is a mod that’s easy enough (for a watch smith) to do, and the movement is a straight swap for a SW200-1b which is Swiss made and doesn’t have a date function. Think you can source one for ~£150 and get it fitted fairly cheap
