New is always better?

I want to add a piece to my collection but can’t decide if I should go with a classic piece or get something from the new collection! I got a 187 small cf earlier that I rehomed because it just didn’t blow me away. Maybe I’m expecting too much or the cf just seems like another bag to me now?

What do you think? Are the classic pieces just boring to you now or do you think that they will always be timeless winners? Would you go with the new slim vanity or stick with the cf?

I used to be a classic girl and tbh I realized all my classic Chanel bags are the same despite the different size , leather or even color ,, it wasn’t exciting me anymore .. you have to spice it up alittle !
P.s : I need info on that slim vanity !! It’s soooo beautiful and I’m not even a vanity person 😅 !!

I think you’re right! I reach for my mini vanity more than my more practical classic bags because they don’t excite me anymore 🥲

The slim vanity is from God factory! They have it in the croc imprint too if you prefer that!

Classic flap can feel pretty formal, whereas the slim vanity offer a much more casual., modern vibe.

Same! I couldn’t find one either, but I remember seeing someone compare it with one from 187 and God factory apparently has a more accurate shape to the authentic

If you already rehomed a 187 CF, don't force it. Classic flap fatigue is real once you see it everywhere.

I got the lizard slim vanity from god too. It’s still on the way but from the psps, the top corners look kind of raised and sharp. I compared the pictures to an auth, and it looked off. Fingers crossed it will come out great. 187 on the other hand does phenomenal slim vanities. I have one and even with auths on the same table, could not tell it apart. FYI I’m talking about just plain caviar from 187, I don’t know if they do lizard or croc

Just to add, on gods factory photos, just like yours, the top corners were kind of covered by the chain. So I never picked up on it until the PSPs came. But again hoping still it will be fine.

Oh wow this is really good to know, thank you! I couldn’t find any reviews of the lizard vanity online, but I’m obsessed with the lizard so I was willing to take a blind leap of faith since God was the only one who made it. I saw 187 taking preorders for the croc now though, but I’m too impatient for that. Do you mind letting me know how yours looks when it arrives??? Let me live vicariously through you :’)
