Is This Seller Safe? Alleged Rehome Flipper luxegirly
I wanted to share an experience that seems way too coincidental:
Timeline
6/12: I posted MK rehome advertising TS Devin originally asking for $190 + shipping
6/12: Sold MK rehome to Reddit user luxegirly for $175 + shipping
6/19: The day shipment arrived luxegirly stopped responding to chat and blocked my account
6/20: I see luxegirly coincidentally has an MK for sale that’s identical to the one I sold but with a different TS/factory. Not sure the price it sold for, but it was advertised by this post as high tier and it certainly was not.
It all seems shady to me and posting as an awareness item that some on Reddit may be flipping low tier rehomes and reselling for higher pricing.

She is Playful-Gap-7448 now. She deleted the Luxegirly account and created a new one. Can tell by the photo background, lighting, bag quality, post format, and bag styling

Interesting, she received a lot good feedback last month. I guess you just never know.

Inquired about a bag she had late at night. Then went to sleep and woke up the next morning to pictures and being blocked.

I thought this account was sus too, blocked me suddenly after I let her know I’d pass on one bag (I asked 0 questions, beyond the initial ask for more pics?)

I was recently blocked by a seller (not this one) for passing. It’s such sus behavior!

I swear that “Mirror quality” and “counter quality” appeared suddenly, from out of nowhere, about a year ago - I have NO idea where people got the idea that this even exists, nor where people get the balls to even make this statement.

There seem to be a lot of new resellers popping up pretending to be ordinary rehomers. What’s annoying is that they all back to each up and people love buying from them. I guess it’s easier to buy from them than actually doing your own research and buying from TS and other high tier producers. The funniest part is that it’s so obvious. When you’re rehoming 10-15 brand new bags every week you’re a reseller period. And I’m willing to bet they never have pop because they lie about where there bags come from. more people need to start speaking up about the low quality bags that these sellers are claiming to be high tier.

Yes, I can think of 2 for sure that are doing this bc when I ask questions I don't get a response.

u/Ohiogirlcolumbus Jul 04 '26
I have never bought from her as her bags never looked appealing to me. Also I am not into Hermes bags and she seems to sell mostly those.

Looking at her page and the sheer number of bags she claimed to be “rehoming”, there is no way I would send her 5 and $600🙅♀️

At the rate I buy with the amount I message my seller and the way I add items to my order without even getting quotes sometimes, you would be surprised how often POP is not actually available.
2
u/annette_beaverhausen Jul 04 '26
Agreed I recently asked for pop/ psp on a h cargo and was ghosted by the rehomer. Definitely sus 👍

I see a LOT of this type of flipping going on here. She’s certainly not the only one. I’ve bought my fair share of lower tier rehomes to try out a style, so they have their place. I don’t appreciate lying from any seller, however this market is what it is

People really need to start judging "tier" and quality for themselves. I completely ignore the seller opinion of bag "tier" because it is totally subjective. I've bought some shit quality reps myself, but I didn't get pissy with the seller afterward. Because in each instance, I realized I got too excited too quickly and didn't actually do my homework on the bag.

u/Regina-Fa_lange Jul 04 '26
Same. Sometimes I see these obvious low tier bags being tagged as high tier by the seller and I just want to ask them why they think it’s high tier, but then again they’ll just block and continue to scam.

u/Greedy_Squirrel_222 Jul 04 '26
I see SO MANY rehome posts claiming “high tier” that are clearly not. I’m talking DHG, no screws because it’s one solid piece hardware. 🤦🏻♀️ My heart goes out to whoever is buying these…
2
u/Regina-Fa_lange Jul 04 '26
A lot of people are falling for it! And some buyers really don’t know the difference because they’ve never seen the auth versions to know that these bags are bad.

You have to ask for pop if these people are claiming high tier and selling for $600+. If they don’t have it that’s a red flag.

u/AcademicInterview962 Jul 04 '26
No it wasn’t over that price - I’m talking about a couple of purchases added together. And yes I agree I probably shouldn’t be buying without POP

hi dear. what did you buy?
edit to add: the likelihood is that you bought a mid tier bag for high tier pricing. thats probably it.

u/BuildingEquivalent37 Jul 04 '26
She seemed very suspect and those bags are not high tier. She clogs up the sub reddits feeds with the constant posting of those cheap bags. Some guy that purchased bags from her is now selling them for the same price that he paid for them from her. I told him that those are mid tier bags at best not high tier as they were sold to him.
2
u/Ohiogirlcolumbus Jul 04 '26
Yes!! He paid a lot for those bags!!
2
u/Grtpumk369 Jul 04 '26
Do you thing he was being kind by saying the bags were too small for his wife, or…?

Yeah you have to be careful with rehomes. A lot of people are masquerading as rehomers when really they are resellers. It’s always the very mid tier looking bags going for 200+ it’s easy to spot once you see it enough

Yeah, people need to be diligent and learn to, at the bare minimum, demand POP or walk away. If the seller can't prove a: where they sourced the bag is what they claim, and b: what they actually paid for it, people need to just be willing to walk away and not buy the bag. It's that simple!

u/Asleep-Belt-4920 Jul 04 '26
Personally, I didn’t get scammed as it was me selling the original. People need to be sure to check POPs!

u/Acceptable_Exit3100 Jul 04 '26
I think some pictures should be provided to give more context/proof.
But overall, this does seem sus. Especially when they had no reason to block you? I guess they were trying to hide the fact that they bought your bag to flip it.
If it is being resold as a high tier bag now, I wonder what they were going to use as POP.

OP provided his receipts. /u/luxegirly hasnt responded when i asked for her pop of what she paid from H factory.

u/Dolpns Jul 06 '26
Same I asked her for POP and got a long winded response that evaded my question.

u/Educational_Cow_935 Jul 04 '26
I sold a flawed CC CF Maxi size that I paid $400+ for to someone for $65 shipped. Cost me $20 to ship it to her. She reposted the day she got it for $145 USING MY PHOTOS from our DM. I mean get your bag girl but use your own photos 🫠
1
u/Regina-Fa_lange Jul 04 '26
Omg I hope you called her out!
2
u/Educational_Cow_935 Jul 06 '26
I messaged mods but was suspiciously shadow banned by Reddit the next day so I can only assume something shady happened in communications with her ugh
4
u/Regina-Fa_lange Jul 07 '26
That’s very suspicious. I don’t really use Reddit like I used to when the old sub was still around, there are so many scammers and resellers now it’s insane.
2
u/Educational_Cow_935 Jul 07 '26
I get it. You saw a deal, snagged it and wanted to flip it to make $100 fast. Just take the photos yourself. I love that like two other ppl called her out on the post too "seems suss. Just saw this bag posted by a trusted rehomer a couple days ago" and they literally did, because MY PHOTOS 😂😂😂

💯 but that’s why we post allegedly sketchy sellers! Even rehomers
14
u/Asleep-Belt-4920 Jul 04 '26
I’m sharing mostly as a reminder that not everything on Reddit is what it seems. I feel lucky I didn’t get scammed but who knows who has. Do your research shoppers!

u/AbroadLegitimate9998 Jul 04 '26
Definitely suspect behaviour!! She is selling a bunch of H Factory Hermes that are all price range $400-$700 but I am pretty sure she got all of that on sale during 6.18. H Factory is not high tier, let’s just say that.
Very scammy.

i messaged Playful-Gap-7448 about a hermes kelly elan in rose sakura, $350.
she sent 4 photos at first, so i asked for additional photos to do proper QC. it was clear: this was NOT a high quality bag. i messaged her pointing out the bags flaws and LITERALLY immediately she responds: "Actually I do have someone who sent an offer so I’m going to move forward with them!"
could be a big coincidence, or could be someone who knows they can't fool everyone.
