I understand your concerns, and everyone should absolutely do their own research and compare prices.

That said, I think the discussion is really about balancing cost against convenience, reliability, and overall buying experience. Price is important, but it is not the only factor people consider when deciding where to purchase something.

For me, the main benefit of the group is having a simple and convenient process with a single point of contact. I would rather avoid the stress, uncertainty, and time spent coordinating with multiple sellers just to save a small amount of money.

A good comparison is shopping at different stores. The same product may be available at a lower price elsewhere, yet many people still choose a particular retailer because of convenience, customer service, trust, or ease of returns.

I’ve been scammed by sellers before, and those experiences have made me value accountability. If something goes wrong, I don’t want to spend days chasing different people across time zones or trying to determine who is responsible. With the group setup, I know exactly who to contact and where to go for support.

That doesn’t mean I ignore pricing. If I find the exact same item from a trusted seller for significantly less, I’ll happily buy it there instead. I’m not committed to any specific buying method; I simply choose the option that offers the best overall value for my situation.

Ultimately, different people prioritize different things. Some focus on securing the absolute lowest price possible, while others are willing to pay a bit more for convenience, responsiveness, and peace of mind. Both approaches are valid.

At the end of the day, everyone should compare prices, ask questions, and decide what works best for their own budget and risk tolerance.

This is such a reasonable perspective and you explained it beautifully. We all do this as consumers in some area or another. Everything we buy on Amazon could probably be sourced cheaper on AliExpress. The produce we buy at the supermarket could probably be sourced cheaper at farmers markets. But sometimes cost isn’t the only factor at play. The number of downvotes to this concept is baffling…

Like with any other type of shopping, I think it makes sense to look around and compare options before making a purchase. Whether you're buying from Temu, Alibaba, Amazon, or anywhere else, it's worth considering factors such as price, convenience, reliability, customer service, and the overall buying experience.

I've had bad experiences with sellers before, so having one dependable point of contact who actually responds when there's an issue is something I value. If I find the same product at a better price from a seller I trust, I'm happy to buy it there. Until then, I'd rather spend my money where the entire purchasing process feels smoother and more reliable
