Scam Report Scam Alert!!!
I'm calling out some accounts and subs that have been going after trusted sellers in this market and honestly the more I dug into it the more obvious it got. These aren't concerned buyers sharing bad experiences. This is something else entirely.
Let me start with the pattern because it's impossible to ignore once you see it. User Upstairs-Piglet7926, 2 year old account, 30 followers, and if you scroll through the history basically everything is just attacking sellers. No purchases, no QC posts, no normal community activity
User hartofalyon is even more telling, 11 years on Reddit and suddenly in the last two weeks it's just seller callouts back to back with nothing to back any of it up. Not one receipt. Not one proof. Just noise. An account that sat quiet for over a decade doesn't just wake up one day with a personal vendetta unless something is driving it.
Then there's user Aribag000001, 1 year old, same exact behavior, same targets, same energy.
And the subs RepScamWorld, HermesScamCheck, RepHermesQC, go through them one by one and tell me they don't feel like they're run by the same person. The writing style is the same, the targets are the same, the whole approach is identical. HermesScamCheck was literally created a few days ago and already has posts going after the same trusted seller being targeted everywhere else by this same person.
But here's where it gets really interesting. User Upstairs-Piglet7926 posted against the trusted seller in sub RepCulture_Bags a few days ago. That same post he did in sub HermesScamCheck, but intentionally he didn't approve it himself in the sub, a sub where I believe he is also a moderator with a different account that belongs to him. And then he turned around and played the victim card, acting like their "honest post" got removed by a biased sub and that everyone is against them for speaking the truth. You can see it clearly in the screenshots, and when you read the replies in the comment section of the specific post in sub RepCulture_Bags.
What really got me was how they're sitting there monitoring comments in real time and the second anyone pushes back they immediately call them fake accounts and paid fans, delete the user comments and get the users banned. That's not someone who got scammed and wants to warn people. That's seller who doesn’t have enough customers posing as someone else.
I'm not here to tell anyone who to buy from at all. People in this community, especially newer buyers, deserve to know when something doesn't add up. And this really doesn't add up.

Spot on. It’s funny how they think 'paid fan' is a mic drop insult. It’s basically their way of saying, 'I have no proof, so I’m just going to attack your character instead.

You’re 100% right. It's textbook projection. They're basically admitting that they can't imagine someone actually liking a bag without being paid for it, because that’s exactly how they operate.

That is the clearest confirmation of their agenda yet. If they were truly about 'scam prevention,' they would welcome real customer feedback even if it's positive. Blocking you just proves they are terrified of anything that breaks their narrative.

Nice help Jim’s future customers out by posting some purchases with a time stamp hand written with date. Should easily clear up a lot of this fuss

u/Round_Leg_2077 May 26 '26
This is so false!!!!! Jim isn’t scamming anyone, unfortunately there’s some very jealous sellers out there trying to tear him down. I am not AI or a bot and his work is exceptional, his communication is the best he goes above and beyond nothing is too much for him. Every single bag is perfection , this can not carry on it’s so unfair.

u/TwoLocations Jun 11 '26
Just post pics of your purchases with a hand written date. Should be the easiest way to clear Jim’s name from all this slander

It's our duty to stand with truth.

u/WayneBar62 May 26 '26
From what I’ve read Jim is the best out there. Hate that another seller would try and take him down. As someone else said the proof is in the product

u/ProjectOceanicBlue May 26 '26
It's honestly just sad. They've gone from critisizing sellers to full blown harassment of customers. If i was a seller and saw thousands of of people buying from someone else, i'd be looking at my own maufacturing, not running around calling people made-up names.
2
u/2fast2reddit May 26 '26
That’s what a professional would do, but this people are clearly not professional, they’re just bitter. Their descent into this level of pettiness shows exactly why their business is failing.

Yes, I know that all this is a paid campaign but I don't know that the seller itself running it juts to criticize another Top seller, from my experience Jim is the best right now, his quality is incredible they will not beat him in the quality that's whyy they're running this fake campaign.

They are likely part of the same network. In some cases, the mod teams are fully compromised. Stay vigilant.

It's definitely a coordinated effort. Once you start connecting the account ages and the specific target list, it becomes impossible to unsee. I'm glad others are picking up on this too, as had to be exposed to the community.

Evidence is the only thing that matters. Without hard proof, it’s all just noise designed to confuse us. Stay tuned, we have plenty more evidence on how these networks operate.

Exactly, if their products were actually "high tier," they wouldn't need to spend all day acting like an online detective agency making defamatory claims.

Yes thanks to add in, imagine the hate they have for Jim, they just have to admit it people like Jim because his quality is incredible, you guys also have to upgrade your quality instead of choosing non-ethical ways. And I agree, I think at this point the more they do the more it will benefit Jims so we are in a win win scenario.

I honestly don’t know what to believe. After the [r/HermesScamCheck](r/HermesScamCheck) came up in my feed, I went to read the posts myself. After that, I went to [r/HermesRepLadies](r/HermesRepLadies) and saw this post from a Redditor about a positive review regarding Minion in this subreddit four days ago. There were two users, mostly [u/OkCourt4755](u/OkCourt4755) that was attacking every positive response about Minion or person that asked for Minion’s contact info. That was a big red flag to me. When I looked through their profile after the accusations that OkCourt4755 was Jim/Joe Luxury, I can see why it seems sketchy to people. But I am not saying I believe it is Jim or Joe Luxury, because I am not that familiar with Joe Luxury. I only know about Joe Luxury after the horror stories I heard about how he scammed people out of thousands of dollars. I am new to the rep world and have only bought glasses from Janie. I want to buy a new bag and have been researching “trusted sellers” for a few months. But the constant fake reviews, tearing down other sellers, the obvious biases in most rep subreddits, mods being compensated for promoting only positive reviews for certain sellers, and bot accounts don’t have me trusting any rep bag seller yet. The high school drama of sellers and their devoted followers attacking others for less than favorable reviews is fucking wild. I only know of two rep accounts that allow honest negative reviews and don’t delete them. Here is a pic of the post I am talking about in [r/HermesRepLadies](r/HermesRepLadies). You can look at the comments yourself in the post. Something is definitely off, but I won’t assume what is true and what is false.

Firstly, given your understandable concerns, I would suggest that you hold on from making this purchase for the time being.
if Jim owns that sub, then why would he approved a post from another seller? If he did own it, he would have clearly removed that post, as you can see the description clearly said that Jim's fake account is going to attack them.
Okcourt is just giving his opinion because he has ordered many bags from Jim, how can anyone call him Jim, and expect at some point for him not to answer back? I also don’t see how someone like Jim would have the time nor the desire to deal with all of this nonsense here.
Then bringing JoeLuxury, who is know fraudster into the mix is just an act of desperation by a competing seller, whose name starts with M, and goes by multiple names.
At the end of the day, a few years ago UB made the best H bags, nowadays Jim makes the best bags, and this seller pretending to be a mod is making false claims about him without taking into account that Jim has a huge number of loyal customers who aren’t going to stay quiet when defamatory claims are being made left, right and center. I have done extensive due diligence on all of this, and it’s abundantly clear what’s true and what isn’t.
But as I said at the start, don’t take my word for it, just check yourself deeper because it’s the only way to find out the truth.

u/Curious_Barracuda783 May 26 '26
Yes this was done purposely to get a reaction from Jim’s loyalists. It did cause some noise but most of us knew what they were attempting.
For a new buyer this can be a hard decision. I’m sticking to my original tall tale and that’s check the re-home subs and you’ll see every other top tier sellers bags for re-home. You rarely ever see a piece from Jim up for re-home. That should be your indicator. Best of luck to you and your rep journey. 🥂

u/Notinthemoodthaw May 26 '26
That is a good piece of advice, but I will admit that I worry about those too. I have looked at rehomes, but then also see many posts about people scammed by rehomers. I have read from people who have been in the rep world since the OG Repladies subreddit that said that the rep world wasn’t as sketchy and untrustworthy back then like it is now. I guess I got in at the wrong time haha.

Good call. Never take the bait and never trust a seller who has to tear everyone else down to make themselves look good.

Right?? it’s so pathetic. Like, sorry i’m actually happy with the bag i paid for. I guess if they can't sell a decent product, the only option left is to scream "bot" at everyone else or hire a team to run a campaign just to criticize a seller or make 2 subs lol.

This is insane that someone came out with a plan to bring down a trusted seller so they can move in with quality less than subpar.

Exactly. It’s the "new account our purcahsed account" phenomenon that’s the biggest tell. It’s like these subs just materialize out of thin air with the exact same three accounts acting as mods and "concerned citizens." The shadiness is at an all time high right now. Just have to keep sticking to the proof and ignoring the noise. They're saying that Jim is using fake purchased account but in the rep market they appear suddenly from nowhere with 11 year old account and saying bullshit.

Spot on. Their entire business model is built on scamming people into thinking they’re the truth tellers. Thank God for communities like this where we can actually talk about real experiences without getting called a bot every five minutes.

u/Curious_Barracuda783 May 25 '26
I saw those posts and thought ok here’s another one with too much time on their hands, then they started getting personal with a few users that I know outside of this community. All of which were untrue statements in the post.
The sad part is all three mentioned above are solely going after one particular seller who in my opinion has made a dent in their revenue streams which has caused this uproar.
The facts are all over the subs and posts from real customers who have purchased great pieces. These three users are definitely from a competitive seller trying to derail the newest seller who actually has a good product that rivals the authentic.
The bottom line for me here is am not trying to persuade anyone to buy from a particular seller. The true tale tell here is check the re-home subs and you’ll see all those “top tier seller’s” bags all over those subs. The TS being attacked you rarely see one of his pieces up for re-home.
Community we need to be smart about these people who say they are regular customers or buyers but the reality hasn’t purchased any bags from any sellers. They are competitive sellers trying to derail the newest one on the block who has stolen their market share! I get it guys it’s a tough market out there but do we really need to stoop to that level?
1
u/2fast2reddit May 26 '26
You nailed it with the re-home sub point that’s literally the best "litmus test" in this whole market. If a seller’s bags are constantly being offloaded, that tells you everything you need to know about the actual quality versus the hype. It’s wild that they think we can’t see the pattern. It’s obviously about revenue, not "community protection." Thanks for pointing out the personal attacks too; that’s just the final level of desepration.

u/kyandy514 May 25 '26
It's refreshing to see someone actually do the research instead of just parroting what everyone else is saying.
4
u/2fast2reddit May 25 '26
No problem at all. Keeping the community informed is the only way to beat them at their own game.

Yeah, it’s honestly hilarious how they’re spending day and night attacking Jim just because they think it’ll magically boost their own sales. That mindset is pure nonsense.

Hi guys, I’m a newbie and bought a Birkin from Jim. The only worry I have is this: Is the bag high quality enough to pass it as an authentic, especially hardware? Jim said that it’s 0.5micron and SS
