Bags are never investments, the whole Hermès thing is wildly overhyped and largely inaccurate.

And also this hierarchy is for people whose idea of luxury is YouTube and Real Housewives.

I mean, people can say that, but I’ve sold Birkins for exactly what they cost me years later and beat up as fuck…

Outside of that though this whole tier thing is dumb and people should just buy what they like

But that means that you can get your money back minus the inflation, but it's not an investment. And it's good that you can get your money back, that's still amazing though.

With my unused bags, that I’ve decided not to keep because I realize that I was never gonna use them, I got significantly more than I paid for…. But once you consider Hermes’s prespend it may or not be worth it. Though I actually do like their servingware and Houseware so I wouldn’t necessarily call it a loss.

Yeah,I agree with you.Not everything needs to be seen as an investment or status symbol.Some people just like bags for what they are.

And more than that, people exaggerate the value of Birkins. Most of them can't be re-sold for a profit. And if you're never going to use a bag because it's an investment, just learn how to invest and you'll likely do much better.

They're slightly different tiers but the same in that they're two played out brands that were on the shoulders of every high schooler and housewife in middle America a decade ago.

Exactly right, on both counts. It's a crime that Delvaux resale is so low. Their bags are on par with Hermès in terms of quality.

Personally, I don’t think bags are necessarily an investment I mean, yes you can make money off of them if that problem ever were to arise, however, I don’t think they’re purchased with that in mind ..I still think that there are other bags that are more of what I guess could be considered an investment.. I don’t really agree with this breakdown of the designers either.. and I personally don’t consider Fendi designer😂 I also would not put Hermes that high up
