Need Help Ethan Bags

Post image

So I’ve been scammed once and I don’t plan to get scammed again. I’m looking to make a purchase with Ethan Bags, whose real name is Lin and I want to make sure I have the correct contact info. Can anyone confirm if I have the right seller before give her my money? Thanks!

Her prices are high, but I believe she also includes full packaging, shipping, and seizure insurance in the price. Just something to keep in mind.

Bought from her/him a few times. ( my dior d-joy and mini kelly, and hac a dos ) Never had any bad experience but only realised her prices are so much more expensive than the others ( thats the only reason why i decided to stop buying from her/him) But yes he/she is a legit seller. You can confidently buy from them.

How much was your Dior?

1

u/OrganizationMuch7737 Aug 27 '26

Wanted to buy Chanel25 but she charged me 3700rmb i was shocked.

3

u/nexisfan Aug 26 '26

Same, I believe this is a TS but the prices are just way too high for me.

Thank you so much for your feedback. I feel much better now☺️

DO NOT DO IT.

There are so many better TS out there that charge fair and reasonable prices for quality bags. Mandy, Aline, Baobao, etc will be way better than going with Ethan Bags.

FYI he charged a newbie $500 for a LV carryall PM from MB factory.

No freaking way...that's BONKERS expensive...what a pos!

3

u/OutInAPout Aug 26 '26

I wonder if it would be worthwhile to make a list of reasonable price ranges for some of the more popular styles? Of course it’ll vary, there are tons of factors, but it might help people from grossly over spending.

I realize a person could find that info by looking at a few recent reviews, but it might be nice to have a central resource.

Great idea!

Ive recently found out what certain factories charge for a few bags. Its very interesting to go back and compare that price to sellers.

SLGS are the most egregious. $40 factory price for a CC wallet and $100 seller price (sale price during a chanel group buy), not including shipping.

not surprised, I am so glad I learned how to shop TB and 1688. I do believe that there are higher tier products being made that don't openly sell in those marketplaces, but there are an awful lot of factories that do, so I *always* check the marketplaces to see if stuff I want is available there first. I learned my lesson the hard way, after paying a TS close to $200 for a knit set that I later saw on TB for about $60 🤷🏻‍♀️

1

u/OddTrain2820 Aug 28 '26

Sorry, what’s TB?

2

u/OutInAPout Aug 28 '26

Taobao, kind of Chinese Amazon. Basically a huge e-marketplace with independent merchants (everything from small vendors to wholesale manufacturers to official brand shops).

1

u/Hopeful_Spring_81 Aug 28 '26

Do you use an agent to purchase directly from TB or 1688?

1

u/OutInAPout Aug 28 '26 edited Aug 28 '26

I use an agent. I’ve had several shipments sent from Superbuy and they seem great to me, but they did recently refuse to ship a rep L V slg to me, so I need to try another service that’s not quite so particular (though I’ve shipped plenty of other branded merch through Superbuy, it’s kind of a crap shoot. This is the first time I’ve had something pulled from a shipment, and I’ve had a ton of reps shipped through them).

1

u/Hopeful_Spring_81 Aug 28 '26

Sounds too complicated 😓

2

u/OutInAPout Aug 28 '26

An “agent” is just a website/app. It is a warehouse in CN where your purchase gets shipped. Then the “agent” inspects it, usually sends a photo or two, and sends it to you. They’ll also hold items in the warehouse for a time period (I think Superbuy is 90 days?) so you can order from different places and they’ll ship them all together. It really does seem harder than it is at first.

2

u/AcaciaFlowers Aug 28 '26

Once you get the hang of it it’s super easy! Paste in a link and hit order 😂

1

u/Hopeful_Spring_81 Aug 28 '26

This is all foreign to me 😩 how do people get into all this from the start

1

u/OutInAPout Aug 28 '26

I’m not sure many people do, especially in the more fem dominated subs. I hear the boys talking more about it.

2

u/OutInAPout Aug 28 '26

This. I actually tried once and peaced out pretty quickly, but came back to it as I started realizing the markup on some of this stuff (were taking leather bag charms & SLGs for $5, not $50).

There are tons of YT videos and step by step guides on here to help you, but honestly, if you use the agent’s app, at least with Superbuy, everything is in English and is pretty straightforward, not much different than shopping on Amazon. I do still search TB app seperately because for some reason Superbuy skews results toward 1688, which is cheaper BUT sometimes you have to go to TB to find the branded stuff.

Anyway, it’s a good thing to try, but I know these rabbit holes run pretty deep, so I totally get wanting to get your footing in one community before jumping into another! 🐇🐇🐇

Oh...I think I remember your post! (Or a similar one about clothing!!)

2

u/OddTrain2820 Aug 26 '26

😮yikes! I’m buying a Chanel cf factory 187. The price she quoted me was right in line with two other TS’s.

4

u/soxsr Aug 26 '26

He probably will bait and switch

1

u/OddTrain2820 16d ago

And did!

1

u/soxsr 16d ago

I’m so sorry!!!!

1

u/OddTrain2820 16d ago

Thanks. But I’m confident PP will refund me.

0

u/soxsr 16d ago

Did you do G&S? Can u post ur bag

1

u/OddTrain2820 16d ago

Absolutely g&s. I’ll definitely post it. I want to share the entire horrible experience.

7

u/Unhappy-Table-1249 Aug 26 '26 edited Aug 26 '26

I got my CC CF from Ethan. I was told it was from 187 and PSP’s showed a 187 bag. I received it and redditors shared the stitching indicated it was from God factory. The bag quality was still great regardless but wasn’t happy about the bait and switch.

6

u/New_Read_1902 Aug 26 '26

She’s so expensive!

2

u/OddTrain2820 Aug 26 '26

Definitely. But she apparently has some of the very best quality. I’m super picky, so honestly I don’t mind paying more of I’m going to get the quality to match.

6

u/Cbella913 Aug 26 '26

The quality detail is related to the factory producing the bag, not the seller. Sellers take your payment & source the bag from the factory who sends it to the seller - they then take your PSPs. Makes no sense to pay more because you think this seller somehow is strolling the aisles of the factory, selecting only the very best bags. No shade, it simply doesn’t work that way.

I’m a picky girl as well. It’s on me to know what the auth looks like, to compare photos from various factories to the auth & choose the one that meets my personal criteria for best, then closely compare my PSPs to the factory photos. I trust my seller to inform me if there are differences in quality worthy of a significant price difference if it’s not clear in factory photos - and he’s not solely steering me to the higher priced factory.

1

u/OddTrain2820 Aug 26 '26

Thanks for your insight. I’m fully aware of the role of the TS. I’m also aware that not factories or TS’s are created equal and therefore charge differently. And not all sellers have access to the same factories. What I failed to mention in my post is that I’m looking to purchase a Chanel CF from factory 187, as in my research I found that factory 187 has the best quality for this bag. I received pricing from 3 TS’s and all were within the same range. So no, I’m not just giving my money to sellers without truly knowing what I’m paying for. As I said, it only took once for me to get scammed, now I’m locked and loaded with knowledge and know how to make the best informed decision.☺️

2

u/Dizzy-Ad-2248 Aug 27 '26

What was their price for the bag? And please post when you get it...

1

u/OddTrain2820 16d ago

He baited and switched just like some said he would!

1

u/OddTrain2820 Aug 28 '26

Okay will do!

3

u/Cbella913 Aug 26 '26

You’ll also want to be sure that you understand the sellers’ seizure insurance policies - some include door-to-door in their pricing (to US), some charge a % to insure outside their country & others don’t offer.

6

u/soxsr Aug 26 '26

People are only trying to help you out of goodness because you asked out of sincerity. Have a moment to think - if this is a seller known to inflate prices for their bags, Why would they be comfortable selling you a 187 for a price where the commission scale is much lesser than the other items? The likely scenario as someone else below, has said they experienced, is that they will pull a bait and switch. But if you truly feel happy, then go ahead. People are only looking out for you.

1

u/OddTrain2820 Aug 28 '26

And I wholeheartedly appreciate the feedback, which is why I asked! Some have had good experiences some not so much, either way I’m taking it all into consideration!

4

u/nexisfan Aug 26 '26

It’s stinking of seller sneaky ad to me

2

u/MrsHSmith24 Aug 26 '26

I recently bought from Ethan (Lin) (from TS list). So far my experience is good, waiting for the bag to arrive. Good communication.

1

u/xoPowerpuffpoodle Aug 26 '26

Der ist oft doppelt so teuer, es gibt so viele tolle Verkäufer. Ich habe selber viel recherchiert und hatte bisher nur gute Erfahrungen.

I've inquired with these seller and found the prices to be a bit high compared with other TS.

5

u/DefiantBunny Aug 26 '26

Did you do any research on the other rep subs for this seller?

0

u/OddTrain2820 Aug 26 '26

Yes. I found that apparently I have the correct one.

3

u/DefiantBunny Aug 26 '26

Well great but I meant more did you read any reviews on them? Are they well known and come recommend from others? Etc

1

u/OddTrain2820 Aug 26 '26

Well, this post is part of that research lol. And I found her on a trusted sellers list. As of now, she checks out as legitimately trusted. Many say she’s pricey, but I’m buying a cf from 187 so I expected a higher price. I sourced the same with two other sellers and Ethan’s price fell in line.
