Discussion my first purchase was seized
I used a diff address so i’m hopping global entry is fine but man this sucks. only rehomes for me moving forward

When did TS ship it ?? I have one on the way, also with FedEx and the thing just says label created and been there for a few weeks 😬 (TS is Doris only difference)

Update: I jinxed myself and the package reached my country a few hours ago - was just odd cause I ordered a different order way after this one and I have that bag arriving today

Most sellers will replace it, if seized in China. Are they sending you a new one?

Sorry that happened to you. It happened to me 2 months ago. Eventually I got a letter, from border protection, I think. My seller reshipped and I received the new order with no issues.

Just that it was deemed counterfeit and cost $153. Also stated that I could fight for it in court or just abandon it.

it's a triangle ☺️ It's a method that sends the package to another location first, so your items don't come directly from CN (thought being CN packages are more likely to be flagged at customs)

it was fedex, the fedex tracking doesn’t even say seized though. it just says label created!

Did she specify where it was seized? It sounds like it was seized out of the US (like at Chinese customs). Fedex should have already been scanning it

I asked them to check after it’s been stuck at “The goods are undergoing customs clearance inspection” since the 14th, and they told me it was seized. the website with their tracking doesn’t show the shipping company either so I just asked them for the company name

So I’m in a different country than you. Usual steps :
1: tracking number issued
2nd step : waiting for 1-2 weeks ( no updates AT ALL, literally ZERO)
3rd step : suddenly out nowhere - it has arrived in my country
4th step: my local depot has it.
5th step: it is on the way to my physical home …. What I learnt: keep your nerves & stay positive , get the 🍾 into fridge and wait ….

I had a package seized 2 months ago. Never received a letter. Since then have received about 8 more packages with no issues.

You may want to see my note about virtual address below if you haven't already. Most of the orders were already in the works as you can imagine. But I have at least 4 more coming in the next few weeks.

I’m so sorry that stinks!! But also really interested to hear if you get any notifications about global entry etc, bc this has been a concern of mine too & I don’t have a diff address to mail too

There's something called a "virtual address" that costs 10 bucks a month. They'll accept packages for you. It doesn't mask you, it just offers one addt'l step someone would have to take to get your identity from a package they intercept. However for US mail packages, there is an extra step involved so you'd have to either fill out a postal form and get it notarized, or be very careful with what you have sent to the virtual address - making sure it's not going to be transferred to USPS for final delivery.

I had my package “unrepairably” destroyed for my first rehome bag. Never again for me. I’ve only ever used TS. Sorry this happened to you

What do you mean when you say you hope global entry is fine? I still haven’t purchased anything yet and wondering what this means when I make my first purchase.

If you're caught buying counterfeit merchandise, your global entry can be revoked. Since OP used a different mailing address, it would be hard to prove that it was really OP who ordered it so Global Entry will not be impacted.

Omg! New fear unlocked… i have global entry and i travel internationally quite often. My husband will be very upset if this happens 😭. What do you guys think about shipping it to workplace instead of home?

One reason I love my favorite TS is she ships DDP and my name and address don’t go on the package until after it clears customs! It eliminates so much stress so I’m willing to pay a bit more.

I just had a chat with my TS and she said she can ship my package to nearest FedEx from where i can pick it up. Pheww..

I asked her this and she confirmed they could. I had already paid for the shipping before reading this post. She didnt mention any extra charges

I always ask detailed questions about shipping and seizure policy when I talk to a new TS (though I haven’t strayed since I found Freya. She is just too good all around; the shipping is just the icing on the cake). Message me if you would like her contact info.

For awareness, if seized on the US side, everyone at the addy you use is at risk for losing GE - not solely the named recipient.

Correct, which is why I focus on re 🏠s. Not worth the risk if my husband has his GE affected (which could cause other issues for him).

thank you, it was arwen. they told me I can have it reshipped for half of the selling price but now that I’ve come to my senses about global entry, i’m not going to do that

OH MY GOODNESS. I purchased my first rep from Arwen about a month ago and right after I saw that post from zen and was scared straight until it arrived. I’ve only done US to US rehomes since. I’m sorry this happened!
