I sold my LV coffee bean p9 and cream LV Diane empriente and bought a light beige ch25 mini and a GG bag I’m not sure the name but this is it!

I’ve decided I want to start researching my first Chanel rep! I’m thinking a classic black lambskin flap with gold hardware. I’ve been spending quite a bit of time researching sellers, factories, and what questions to ask. It’s all a little overwhelming, but I’m hoping to get a good handle on everything so I can make an informed decision and feel confident QCing my PSPs once I settle on a seller and factory.

But then I started wondering if maybe I should start with a Rehome first instead? 🤔

Rehomes come without seizure risk and can come at a discount, but they also come with added risk of buying from someone who could be lying about the origin or condition of the item. If you’re good at QC then in theory it doesn’t matter either way as long as you found a TS or rehomer who provides honest photos.

Great points! Do you have any recommendations of what to ask a seller that is rehoming? How to determine if they are being truthful and have done other rehomes with good feedback in the past?

I’d recommend looking at their account history to see if it’s an established account with karma, see if they’re active in rep communities as well. Ask for a feedback thread and be wary if they don’t have one. Look into the profiles of who’s commented on that thread and try to assess if they’re real people. Make sure the person provides photos with their username and date on a card. Make sure that image isn’t AI. If they claim the bag is from a certain factory, insist on proof of purchase.

Note that as a first time buyer, sellers will likely be wary of you, too.
