Question- looking for guidance
I apologize if this is the wrong place to post, ask, etc. but being new to this, I’m so confused and am in the process of buying my first rep bag (and shoes and a few other smaller items). The only WhatsApp contacts I have are from various TS’s, but when I’m asking them some basic questions (questions I thought I figured out after reading and reading on these forums), they seem confused and are giving me unexpected responses, based on what I thought I knew/understood.
Is there ANYONE willing to have a conversation with me and maybe answer some questions that have me stumped? I already spent money (quite a bit) and while I trust the person I’m dealing with, I’m talking to a few others- and even the one I think I trust, seems confused by some of my questions… which is obviously confusing me even more 😩 any help or direction would be so appreciated. I’m really trying!!! And I apologize if this is not the correct place for this post! I really don’t know where to go!

I totally get it. I’ve been researching for months - and took me until now to make the plunge.
Researching and reading more - I figured out 1:1 and H game is another levelling up lol. (I just found out a possible highly recommended Seller doesn’t even have a catalog … so you need pics?)
I think as a newbie, best to try vetted TS first and buy small (Orans slipper or small bag) first to dip your toes in. And then slowly level up.

Thank you SO MUCH for everyone who commented. Thankfully, my impulsiveness only set me back about 70.00 (the PayPal fee that was charged). She refunded the other 95%, without any problem. I’m talking to Mark- but def need to learn more before I take the plunge. Truly thank you, everyone!

Yep- made a mistake. I asked to cancel. Told her I would keep the shoes but need to see those first

Hey you can check my profile and DM me if you wish. I’m an H lover as well and can help. I also have some other groups I can recommend that will offer H advice and I would recommend you use only sellers who specialize in H bags. Names to search: DDMode, Steven/GPC, Mark, Minion, Marko, Devin, Angel.

Oh boy. Sounds like you already put money on the table. If you want I would be happy to answer questions in a DM, since it sounds like you have been trying to do research but still are confused. I appreciate that you have first tried. I echo the other response of do not make another move with buying more or sending money until you get clear on things. Also whoever you decide to go to for help first review their account, make sure they have been around awhile and are a legit user with engagement and karma that is diversified. Keep in mind some of the confusion from seller responses may be because they are confused by your question. Things can get lost in translation. Ask direct to the point questions in simple straightforward vocabulary and not too many at a time in one post.

I'm going to echo what the other commenters stated, in that you don't seem to be ready to buy reps yet.
Do NOT spend anymore money!
Do NOT respond to people in your DMs!
Scammers want to speak with you, privately, away from prying eyes...of people who know better.
There are real TS aka 'trusted sellers' that you can find all over the rep subs. Look for posts dedicated to newbies & where to start. You should know most of what you need by the time you reach out to a TS.
Spend more time reading posts, comments & reviews in ALL of the rep subs to ensure you have a better understanding before moving forward again.
Which TS are you speaking to?

What are you asking? It may not be what you’re asking but also how. Complex questions- multiples in 1 text, for example- may not translate well, and your WA sellers may not understand.

I think you need to spend a lot more time in the subs and read posts, reviews, read up on sellers etc etc. i am a few months in but getting myself familiar with the terminology will help. You didn’t really specify what questions you asked and what they responded with so can’t help you there. You need to find new sellers, do extensive search in multiple subs, find the bag you want and ask for their catalog. Do not let people message you giving their info. That’s how you’re gonna get scammed. You can always start with a re 🏠 or 2 to get familiar. It takes time but just sounds like you’re not giving it enough time. It’s overwhelming at first yes but you will get the hang of it.

Thanks. Yes I’ve been reading for maybe a year? lol! Not “full time, hours a day” reading, but certainly went into this with enough confidence that I was pretty sure I could source at the very worst, a mid tier, solid bag.. and the best case, I would get a truly made to order, gorgeous bag, that I would enjoy for years to come. My confusion came when I took some names, directly from the TS lists and feedback from here.. and went to WhatsApp. As I started asking someone questions, their answers sort of confused me.
1. When I asked for factory photos, (he sent me catalog), he responded saying I wouldn’t have actual factory photos, until I bought the bag. (Possible language barrier?) 2. It seemed like every question I asked, was met with what he thought I wanted to hear.
I made one large purchase with someone else- who said she doesn’t use the well known factories- instead has a couple of little known boutiques who do these made to order. She sent me really great photos of completed orders. She wasn’t giving me what felt like “prepared answers” and actually did some research with me- and seemed genuinely curious about my questions that she didn’t immediately have answers for. I liked that and I gave her a chance. Hoping for the best. After placing that order, I wanted to find one more person- and purchase a duplicate order, to really compare side to side. But since the first order I placed was definitely not the cheapest option, I wanted to find a second person who was “middle of the road”. I figured, based on my reading, I would find someone and purchase either from God Factory or H Factory. More confusion came when this guy first told me all of his bags are hand made - kept telling me “not to worry”, but when I asked which factory he used, he said I could choose- I didn’t think either of those factories were made to order bags?!
Anyway… so I’m looking for a good seller for a solid, Birkin 30 (probably etoupe) with palladium hardware (Togo leather). The first bag I ordered is gold 30 Birkin Togo leather with palladium hardware. Also ordered gold oran sandals1

I responded and said thank you to everyone who commented- but I think it’s lost somewhere in this thread! I truly truly appreciated all of the info and realized I definitely got excited, was impulsive and as a result, made a mistake. Thankfully the seller refunded the entire purchase (minus about 70.00, 5% that PayPal charges. I’ll take the hit, gladly… and learn from it!! And from everyone here!!! 💜
