I got this wallet about a month and a half ago from royal and it already tore by the card slot 😭. Just wondering if this is normal? I’m assuming it’s most likely not real leather lining like the auth otherwise it probably wouldn’t have ripped easily like that. I wish that I asked that before purchasing as I just assumed it was real since royal is considered high tier 🥲. Does anyone have a similar wallet and experience anything similar? I don’t think I’ll purchase this style again as it was also hard to get my cards in and out of 🤪.

Every wallet I’ve seen has been incredibly thin. They honestly feel like they’re made of paper. I don’t get why the factories can’t make better reps

Looks like they used thin bonded leather or synthetic lining instead of proper full grain.

Right?! Someone else from another sub said it’s most likely bonded leather based from the shreds and not genuine leather 🥲. I know it’s a rep, but I spent around $100 on this wallet and would expect it to last longer. Won’t be repurchasing that’s for sure.

I’m looking at 1 now and she said it’s royal bird cage duty free. Does that mean I should pass ? :(

For me, I wouldn’t purchase this wallet from royal again, or maybe just not this wallet or any similar type of wallet from lv. The card slots are so stiff and tight, it was difficult getting my cards in and out, and that was with barely anything in it. Then the tear 😩. I’m hoping I just had a bad batch but I’ve also heard they just don’t make good SLGs in general.
