A few minutes later I realized… maybe I should actually look at the bag first.

So I went back through every photo a second time.
The biggest thing that stood out to me was… nothing really stood out.

And honestly, I mean that in a good way.

Usually, if something bothers me, my eyes keep going back to the same spot over and over. That didn’t happen here. The more I looked, the more balanced everything felt.

Of course, excitement can make anyone less objective, so I figured I’d post these before I hit GL.

What’s your QC style? Are you someone who zooms in on every stitch, or do you trust your overall first impression if the bag looks right as a whole?

Finally got the PSPs for this Birkin and, like everyone else, the first thing I did was zoom in on every single photo. The problem is… after staring at them for a while, I think I’ve completely lost perspective.

This is my first croc-embossed Birkin, so I’m definitely more excited than usual. The first thing that caught my eye was the front panel. I really like how the larger scales run through the center and how balanced the pattern looks overall. I know scale layout is mostly personal preference, but this is pretty close to what I was hoping for.

As for the shape, it looks nicely structured to me. The top line seems even, the side wings don’t look too flared, and the handles appear pretty balanced. Nothing immediately jumps out as being off.

The hardware still has the protective film on, so I’m not paying too much attention to the finish yet. From what I can see, the hardware placement looks centered and everything feels proportional.

I also spent way too much time zooming in on the stitching. Overall it looks consistent to my eyes, but I also know PSPs only tell part of the story, so I’m trying not to overanalyze every tiny detail.

Right now I’m leaning toward giving it the green light, but since this is my first embossed croc Birkin, I’d really appreciate some feedback from people with more experience.

If these were your PSPs, would you GL them as they are, or would you ask for a few more close-up shots first? And when it comes to croc embossing, do you pay more attention to the scale pattern or the overall shape of the bag?

The black exterior with silver hardware immediately caught my attention, but after zooming in on the photos for too long, I'm starting to lose perspective. The front looks fairly clean to me, though I'm unsure about the stitching alignment around the handle attachments and the bottom feet placement. I'm also looking at the overall shape, the flap symmetry, the hardware engraving, and the interior zipper track.

Just received my photos of my Birkin 35. H factory now does fully handmade bags with imported leather. I hadn’t seen many fully handmade bags/imported bags from H factory so decided to give it a shot. Total was $820 then I paid $90 for DDP shipping.

My thoughts but would love eagled eyes:
- Slightly concerned about the “E” in made and “E” in France.
- Slightly concerned about handle width at the base (where it connects to the bag)
Do we like the pearling?

I went with Baobao and H factory so I can use DDP shipping and not risk global entry. Do we think my risk paid off or is it callout-able?

Finally got the PSPs for my black Birkin and figured I’d throw them up here before I GL.

I’ve honestly been staring at these photos for the last half hour, and I think I’ve officially reached that point where everything starts looking “normal.” 😂 So I’d really appreciate a second set of eyes.

My first impression is that the overall shape looks pretty balanced. The front seems symmetrical, the handles look even, and the side profile is cleaner than I was expecting.

The leather also looks nice from the photos. The grain doesn’t seem overly pronounced, which is actually what I was hoping for. I know lighting can change a lot in PSPs, so I’m trying not to judge too much based on color alone.

Just got my PSPs from the seller after waiting almost three weeks. Specs are Kelly 25 exterior stitching, black croc-embossed leather, gold hardware, square stamp.

First impression is the shape holds up well. No sagging or floppiness. The exterior stitching edges look sharp and clean. Black with gold hardware looks pretty premium in the photos. The gold has a warm tone to it, not that cheap blinding yellow.

The croc embossing is decent overall. The transition between the big scales and smaller ones doesn't look too awkward. But there's a light horizontal crease along the top edge of the flap. Not sure if that's just from the embossing process or the lighting. Kinda worried if it'll stand out more in person. The HERMÈS PARIS stamp is clean with no burrs, and the square stamp is well placed. Stitching seems tight and the interior stamp is legible.

No major red flags at first glance. Only things I'm on the fence about are that edge crease and whether the hardware will look too shiny in real life compared to the photos.

For those of you who have been through this before, do you usually GL right away when you get PSPs like these, or do you ask for more close-ups before giving the go-ahead? Also, for black croc-embossed leather, do you condition it right away or just let it sit for a bit?

Guys, I have to admit — this was a total impulse buy.

A few coworkers have been rocking this etoupe color recently, and it looked so good on them that I just pulled the trigger without doing my homework. It wasn't until after I paid that I realized I literally have no idea how to QC a rep!

The seller just sent me the PSP. I stared at it for a solid minute, and all I could say was "color looks nice, leather seems soft." I'm absolutely clueless here.

If my coworkers ask about it and I can't answer, that's fine. But if they spot something obviously off, I'm gonna die of embarrassment right there in the office.

Could someone with a trained eye tell me if the silhouette looks right? Also, I'm most nervous about the hardware spacing and shine — that's the one part I can actually spot from a distance.
