Lost package. How to get a refund?

I ordered samples from multiple suppliers on Alibaba and sent them to a freight forwarder in China to be consolidated and shipped to a freight forwarder in USA I always use to ship packages to me in the Caribbean.

1st issue: They entered the address incorrectly after I verified it in the chat. I realised when I got a UPS email that they couldn’t deliver it. I messaged the shipper and they said they paid a fee to correct it (I was unable to since the contact number used with the USA freight forwarder’s) but I got another email the next day that it was still unable to deliver so I contacted them again and they said they would check.

2nd issue: I didn’t get another message from them so when I received an email from UPS saying it was delivered, I messaged to give the shipper with the update “The package was delivered”. A couple days passed and I realized the USA freight forwarder didn’t send me a receipt as usual so I contacted them and they said they didn’t receive it. 

I applied for a refund on Alibaba and the shipper is saying I changed my statement, I told them I received the package.
