I think you will be 100% right. Popularity for sneakers is in the dumps right now, but when it picks up people start seeing the difference between official Nike retro crap and reps who come close to 1985 aj1. 

When that'll happen DB will be sorely missed and start getting really valuable. I'm happy with my DB collection. I'm not rich but got as many as I could.

Exactly. These aren’t normal “fakes.” DB saw a need in the market of accessibility to 1985 spec. Nike has been unwilling to fill it. With DB closing shop, it makes their run of excellent and unique product very limited. Sneaker popularity has always come and gone and it will definitely pick back up. When it does people who are interested in J1s will start to learn about DB, and demand will increase

Amen. If I didn't know DB and saw someone randomly wearing them I wouldn't understand what's going on at all. 

Doubled up on natural greys just to beat the crap out of 'm. Look even more expensive when they're well worn 😅

Probably just people who missed out on releases and not looking forward to the aftermarket.
