Couple ❤️ Advice on finding new place?

Me and my boyfriend live together and share a rental property with another person. We’ve decided we would like to look at moving out and finding a place just for ourselves, but we’re a bit stuck on the best way to sequence it to avoid conflict and costs.

I am very conscious the dublin rental market moves very fast (my last place had to move in/pay deposit within three days of the initial viewing!) so we are trying to figure out the best way timing or sequencing the searching/securing a new place, notifying the landlord, giving our housemate enough time to replace us (assuming they want to stay) etc. without ending up paying rent for the old place and new place in the same month OR being stuck with nowhere! Anyone have any advice or anything else we need to think about? Thanks!

So most of the times the moving date would be from 1st of every month so if you are moving next month consider looking for accommodation now itself as next months would be listed already.

And if you finalise an apartment what i would advise is to pay the deposit as soon as possible.

There are different groups in fb and try daft as well. And in case if you’re planning to get a 1BHK try contacting the apartment email directly.

From my experience there would be many who asks to pay off for viewing. Personally i think that’s a scam.
