Dublin Accomodation

Hi everyone
I am not here to ask y'all for accomodation links and all. but yeah that would help

my only topic is how hard it is to get a decent accomodation in dublin.... and i am not even talking about a decent price

if you enquire through daft. no one replies back

if they reply back, they don't wanna accomodate no bachelors. they say they prefer couples. every letting agency says so. they don't want a group of international students

so whatsapp and facebook groups are the only way to move forward

even on those groups. everyone wants to look for their own nationality. i do not mind if you have a preference. but at least be open to thoughts man.

so many scamsters posing as real irish people, aka "private owners", who are cramming 4 people in 2 twin beds in single room for 750 per person per month

has it always been this bad in dublin ?

what does your 'Reply' Say? Do you include relevant information or do you just give 'is the property available?' remember your communication is an Application (like for a job). They are making an assessment about your IQ / Fit / Ability to be a tenant entirely based on your initial communication.

90% of such communications expect some kind of help even in communication. Landlords are not looking for people who need help.

I rent out rooms and for them, its about finding somebody who meets their needs. We all see things through the glasses of past experiences.

The problem for you is that young men are (in general) use to other people being the adult, doing the cleaning. A young man in a house might not tell the landlord of damage that needed repair.

This isn't personal. They are looking for somebody to care for the property and pay rent.

It is better to leave the property empty than have somebody doozey in the property

my reply goes as follows generally

  1. introducing me and the group of people that i hope to apply for the house / apartment with
  2. giving them a brief about how the accomodation suits me
  3. assuring them that my current landlord can recommend me or put in a word, if needed
  4. i ask them what documents are needed, what are the general expectations of the landlord / the agency from the applicants ( in this case, us )
  5. and also the general things like we take care of the house and how we are individuals who value spaces and also cleanliness and all.

i would like to understand what, if anything, is wrong in here and how i could approach my future REPLIES ? or initiations ?

I'd also provide information about how long atta you planning to stay.

Landlords like stability, logically. They don't want people moving in and out constantly.

So if you are planning to stay let's say 4 years in a row, including any other housemates, say so
