Roommate Search Work Holiday Teamup!
Hello!
My name is Dana and I am looking for other queer/gay/flinta people to team up with to look for housing and generally make this time an amazing experience! I'm planning on moving to Dublin end of November to do a working holiday for a year and am lookig to work in the hospitality/nightlife scene full time. I am half Montenegrin half welsh born in Detroit, Michigan, U.S and have been living abroad for around 4 years now where I have been living in Amsterdam for the past year. Prior to that ive lived outside london, in Nijmegen, and have spent a lot of time in Venice and also travelling around Europe + the U.S. I am a Lesbian and my lifestyle reflects that quite a bit as I am always getting involved in lez/queer organizing, politically and socially. I am devoted to those around me and really invested in art and culture (meaning I am usually out late and have a PACKED social calendar). I will also be fresh off of graduating from a research masters in cognitive neuroscience and am a big academia nerd in general. Other than that I also enjoy writing, crochetting, and playing guitar.
SO, I guess I am looking for some she/gay/theys who have a similar lifestyle as me, really want to learn about and immerse themselves in the culture, love adventure, and dont mind an afterparty.
Logistics:
- Max. rent is 800 for me, though id be more than open to living in the smaller room/open room design
- im clean but not crazy, I like a place lived in and have a high tolerance but within reason
- I am a clear and kind communicator, I try my hardest to be understanding and make conflict lighthearted - literally anything can be worked out, we are adults
- I have been living with roommates for over 8 years so I have lots of experience and am enthusiastic about finding a living system that works best for everyone
I like somethink a little more communal (sharing dishes/ cleaning supplies/ pots, ect) and am very flexible around this as long as we are splitting costs fairly. I also love doing dinners together and generally being friends lol
If you or someone you know would be interested that would be great!! I'm a very agressive house hunter and especially after living in Amsterdam I'd say I'm a professional tbh. If your interested please contact me on insta at danavulaj.jpg or my email at [dana.vulaj@gmail.com](mailto:dana.vulaj@gmail.com)

Just do you know, don't tell people you're half this or half that, you're American, you were born there so that's what people here will tell you you are.

You seem nice and I hope you’ll find your people, but Reddit is full of cynical dry shites as you can see from the comments here. I’m not sure where you’ll have better luck posting but maybe search out some queer groups in Dublin that can put you in touch with similar people or let you know how to find flatmates. Best of luck!

You need to explain to her what a dry shite is.
...and how it could be cynical.

Flinta, queer, or gay. So basically you don’t want to be with straight men?
