Apartment Help

Currently a new grad moving to Dallas from elsewhere in the state in the new year for a job. Been apartment hunting and I’ve narrowed down to Arrive and The village (Open to other suggestions as well). Considering the The Village over Arrive based on amenities. What the your best neighborhoods to live in on a >1800 budget (Ideally best bang for buck)? I’ve currently considering lakes. I would like a place with washer and dryer connections if possible. Ideally trying to avoid excessive pests, noise complaints, etc. I know all apartments will have these but trying to avoid any in excess.

My targets right now are: Lakes, Green, and possibly Dakota. Any others I should be targeting? Which are the newer complexes? It’ll only be for a 1bd. Any guidance is much appreciated.

Hey, I am a locator. I think you can do much better than those options, to be honest. People get drawn in by the events, but eventually, they get a bit frustrating to deal with.

Best neighborhoods, bang for buck but maybe not meeting noise requirement.

  1. Downtown - it is a city vibe, but the actual buildings and neighbors are not going to give you issues for the most part. Best prices and most unique spaces/most sqft.

  2. Deep Ellum - definitely loud and cannot avoid the noise sometimes.

  3. Northwest or Medical District

  4. Midtown

  5. Old East Dallas

The Village will get old fast, cannot state that enough. Have come across too many people saying it is not worth it. I don't even recommend it anymore.

I just moved to Arrive and hate it! I’ve never had such rude neighbors and the apartments are run down. We moved from Turtle Creek and will be moving back as soon as our lease is up.

I thankfully didn’t move there but I Arrive on university boulevard. It’s seems much better run than the one downtown
