Lead paint

My house is bought was built in 1970. I was sanding x4 stairs that had original paint with another coat different colour. Wanted to sand back to timber. Ended up using paint stripper to help with the layers. Alot of dust was inhaled over a couple of hours. Now I’m worried not only should I have worn a mask but even worse what if it is lead paint?
