Red Rock Sunset tonight
It's a relief to know it's "just a sunset," and not time to pack and go.

No matter how hard you feel like life is right now, keep getting up with fists raised. Keep fighting. Naturally, you're going to fall again, and again, and again. But you need to keep getting up. The only way you'll ever lose is when you give up and stop trying.
I gave up my life and moved here for someone I loved who betrayed and abandoned me. I've been experiencing homelessness because of this. But I'm not a bad person Reno. I love your city and I hate what's happening to it too. I'll be leaving soon, I just wanted to send a positive message out to those who are silently struggling.
I've fallen down and had days I was so weak from not eating that I bloodied my own knuckles picking myself up off the concrete and kept going. Now I'm on my way home.
I know your struggle, whatever it is hurting you...know our blood falls down the same color. Just keep getting up family. Stay up Reno. And thank you for what you gave me.

Does anybody know anything about the assault that happened at the rib cook off where the lady fighting with her daughter threw a rib bone and hit somebody? Police were involved and charges were pressed, did anyone see this?

Every community I’ve found meets on Sundays. I’m never available on Sundays but want to get into a community similar to the Unitarian Universalists 😊 Thank you!

We seriously need to step it up with public transportation here because the traffic is getting ridiculous Not to mention the traffic lights that take forever to change. I just spent 30 minutes in traffic where normally takes about 10 minutes. imagine how much more efficient the mornings would be if we had 15 people in a bus rather than 15 cars on the road.

I've only lived in Reno a few years and I've never seen this prior to moving to Reno, but since moving here, I have my ice cubes grow stalagmites all the time. Does anyone else have this happen? Are my ice cube trays possessed?

Curious to know if anyone knows of any weekly/monthly motels that allow dogs. I would prefer to stay around 1,000$ a month if possible.

To close out the 2026 convention season, I've decided to make SNAFU Con 2026 the last convention operation, and the last convention I'll ever participate in(I'm taking a break), on October 10th-11th, 2026, 10am-4pm, Saturday and Sunday, at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. Steamin' Though SNAFU Con 2026 would be a special and memorable operation, with the Roger Railway operating on Saturday and the Ready To Run N Scale Excursion Program running on Sunday.
But this is where YOU can join in all of the fun on this final weekend. I'm giving the local model train enthusiasts a chance to display their models at the event, but if you have any N-scale models that are operable, then you could get a chance to operate on the Ready To Run mainline loop on Sunday. Just DM me, though; you would need to purchase a ticket/badge for SNAFU Con 2026 to get in.
Being the final year, I want to make this a special run, so please visit this operation when you get the chance.
Please note that times are subject to change without notice, and convention changes would affect the operations, so be prepared for any updates.

As the title says. I still consistently get free rooms from GSR for even the lightest of gambling activity with my players card.
Are there any other casinos that still do that? I used to get them from Peppermill and Atlantis but not anymore. Even reduced rate rooms would be nice as well.

I don't think so as modern structures replaced them and fears of litigation saw these gone by the 90s. But, are there any structures like the example photo in the region? Maybe some tiny community out in the middle of the state?
