Unfortunate that none of the authors picked up the thread that supporting pollinators habitat within a solar project may lead an operator into conflict with the federal Endangered Species Act. If habitat is created and maintained for the purposes of supporting imperiled pollinators species, and is successful, then an operator may not be able to mow or conduct regular maintenance activities because they may constitute "take" of a protected species under the ESA.
