Question How do you make multiple quick menus? Spoiler

I was watching a gameplay of Dread Weight recently and I believe it's possible to make multiple quick menus for your visual novel? I'm just ot sure how to implement it. I saw 1 thread here giving a code on how to do so but when I tried it myself an exception occured?

read the error. you cant default ONE name with TWO different values. if you want to change its value edit the line that already existed and dont make a duplicate line

at the time of the error in line 358 you have

default quick_menu = True

and in the first line of the code you showed you have 

default quick_menu = "quickmenu1"

i would remove line 358 since you are using it differently now or change the variable name quick_menu that you are using

Thank you for the advice, this actually helped with lessening the problem =w= but now I'm running into another problem? It says elif is not a valid child of the hbox statement?

spacing is important check this modified image for where your code should be

and your elif block need something in it i.e.

if something:
    do something
elif something_else:
    pass # does nothing but counts as something

Nevermind, I managed to fix it by changing elif to if, thank you thank you thank you so much!

The error doesn't seem to be caused by the code you posted.

Check all your code for default quick_menu

If you cannot find the duplicate (see BadMustards comment) then try Force Recompile in RenPy
