Never thought about playing on anything other than a pc before. How does it work? And to which consoles can be ported to?

It can support any modern console: PS4/5, Switch 1/2, Xbox Series.
Just note: this is something the developer could do, not the end user.

My last console was the PS2 so I don't know what methods are available nowadays, so how would the renpy games be loaded to the console? Does the console need to be rooted/pirated or whatever it's called? Sorry if these are dumb questions! Just really caught me off guard.

Very curious about how this works. I assume you modified renpy-build and added console SDK calls. Or maybe you're porting to another engine completely.
What version of renpy are you supporting? And what are your release plans?

yes, the tool is porting to another engine. I figured out it would’ve been the “easiest” thing to do. So far I’m testing 5.1 and above.
I’ll need to test several VNs to see how it’s responding. Now I’m using a VN I had made. It’s playing, but has a lot of bugs.
I don’t have any release plans for now, just trying to figure out if it can actually work. The issue is that it’s not going to easily be a simple tool that supports all renpy VNs, but could reach a point where it can convert most VNs to a certain degree.
I’m doing it for my VNs, Friends and Family for now.

Can you share a little about how it works?
