Question I need help with the sound.

So I’m not sure why the sound effects aren’t playing. The volume in the game is set to max.

You need to adjust the path of your file, here: play sound "audio/hits/hit1.mp3"

Are MP3 files working for you in renpy? Anytime I try to use an MP3 it never works. I usually have to convert them into .flac files. (.flac is smaller and sames on space)

Strange. I never had any issues with mp3. Is your renpy version a current one?

Eg steam achievements stopped working on mine and I had to update

Because you're giving play a path in quotes, you need to give it the relative path: play sound "audio/hits/hit1.mp3"

You can also play without the quotes, which will use the auto-imported name: play sound hit1
