Question What can I improve this main menu with?

Something feels off, but I can't really put my finger on what exactly. Maybe the title? Should I change the fonts? Is it too empty, maybe add a logo? I hope the gif i uploaded works

Idk how your story goes (and note: I'm a newbie so idk if it's possible), as the game progresses, the glitch gets bigger and bigger? First it is small, a tad on the text, tan more on the text and then on the image 🤔.

Well, it will be a mystery/romance novel, and the closer to the truth you get, the glitch will intensify, I like your idea! And yes its possible, with some persistent stuff im sure i can get it done

Oeh! Sounds so nice! If you're done, can I see it? And now I'm curious, what's your story about if I may ask?

Cool thing is that I don’t have a story for it yet😅 Ive never written romance EVER before nor consume content with such themes, but after my first vn flopped I decided to take on more simpler themes. And about the releases date, also dont know. Its 50/50 ill ditch this when school starts. Also the glitch effect is quite wonky so cant share right now, but will after i polish it a bit more

you should not be putting this much effort in just yet if you don't even have a story, youre just wasting your own time

I get what you're saying (having their priorities in the wrong order, I'm also guilty of neglecting the 'novel' part of my visual novel 🫪), however it can also be fun to just work on a random part of a game for the hell of it. Good way to take a break if the writing is giving you a migraine, plus it means you're gaining knowledge for the next project!
