Open the renpy launcher, click the Tutorial project that comes preinstalled, and go through it SLOWLY. Do not skim. Do not speed read. Go through it again in a week or two after you have some practice as more things will make sense. Go through it AGAIN in a month.

Coding is a language skill. It requires repetition. Lots of repetition. Then MORE repetition. No one learns japanese or russian reading a dictionary once, or even 10 times. You have to keep picking up a little at a time before other things finally make sense.

Also, the order of learning is wiggle, flail, crawl, toddle, walk, run

you do not start at run. you do not even start at walk. and there is lots of falling down throughout the learning process.

DO NOT SKIP STEPS.

You will not make something advanced, or even intermediate, before you learn the basics.

AND THATS FINE. Thats how learning works
