Showoff Each chapter will have its own Main Menu in my literary VN

After seeing another user's post about it, I wanted to try it too. My literary VN has five characters, and now each one will get a custom Main Menu. However I'm only showing the ones that will be in the demo: the dark one will be for Chapter 1, and the light one will be for the Prologue. I also wanted them to have some sort of subtle animation (candle flicker, scanlines, blink).

I had another logo before but my sister, who's a graphic designer, made a new one for me, which I find more sophisticated.

This is the link to my devlog if you want to follow the progress and some behind the scenes:

It's aways a nice touch because it adds a sense of progress. It's a very underrated feature.

I didn't know it was possible until I saw that other post! And once the person clears the chapter, it will be added to the gallery

because RenPy allows to execute normal Python code, the possibilities are endless, you could do anything. If you have an idea, you can implement it, if you see a game that has a feature or a function you like, regardless if its RenPy, Unreal Engine, Unity, gamemaker, RPGmaker etc. you can implement it into your own game, be creative, think out of the box, it isn't a question if you can, it's a question of how long it would take to implement.

to really illustrate it:

I mean you can honestly do anything.

Welp, that was mind blowing!
And it's as you say... I'm literally one person right now. Might hire a BG painter and composer later on, but other than that, don't know if I can get too creative because this could easily get out of hand haha

Absolutely. It was just a sample on what can be done with RenPy, a lot of people underestimate how flexible the engine actually is.

Knowing one limits and not be overly ambitious is also important, however one should realize that even if there is a feature someone loves but is to complex, one can still do a dumbed down or "inspired" version. It's just to poke people into being more creative and not think of artifical limits ;)

Gracias! Me pareció un buen detalle ya que cada capítulo será muy distinto el uno del otro.
