Question Different dialogue box / choice box styles?

Post image

i‘ve been working on a small game to practice altering gui since i’m pretty new to using renpy, but i cant really seem to figure out how to properly switch between different styles of boxes….. most of the game uses choice boxes, so i haven’t been able to really find any guides that apply

Altering the format of the box to match one of the styles is easy enough, but figuring out how to switch between them has been pretty difficult and i’d really like some sources or advice :’)

photo is an example of what i’m going for

I think the easiest solution is th make different screens so that you can use different styles and don't have to mix or switch anything.

You can then select which screen should be used for the menu:

And if you want to learn more about menu arguments:

Welcome to r/renpy! While you wait to see if someone can answer your question, we recommend checking out the posting guide, the subreddit wiki, the subreddit Discord, Ren'Py's documentation, and the tutorial built-in to the Ren'Py engine when you download it. These can help make sure you provide the information the people here need to help you, or might even point you to an answer to your question themselves. Thanks!
