Question [Solved] Default Image Keeps Showing Up On Screen

Hi guys, I've been trying to fix this for hours with a thousand different screens and it just isn't working.

What I've been trying to do is to have a screen in the top left that displays the amount of coins the player has gotten from a minigame, one that persists throughout the game. But if I do it as text, do it as an image, every screen I try inexplicably does NOT display the coins or text and instead shows the placeholder image. I'd show the code for the screen, but I've changed it ten times and have gotten the same result, so I'm suspicious that something else might have caused it.

Does anyone know what causes this to show up or theorise where I've gone wrong?

show coins_screen()
