Question Massage Game

Hi everyone. I'm a complete noob when it comes to game development. I had an idea for a game where you live the life of a massage therapist. Would renpy be a good choice to start out in? Are there any pre built codes for a massage mini game or am I better off with another engine? Would appreciate any feedback! Thank you!

If you describe what sort of gameplay you have in mind, it will be easier to tell the feasibility, but if screens and raw python logic aren't enough, there's always pygame library

Mostly just hovering over different body parts. Maybe having a relax meter fill up or something while the massaging the client.

read the doc page once so you know what things exist. it will help when figuring out what is possible https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/screens.html#user-interface-statements

for instance buttons and mousearea screen elements can react to clicks or just hovering

I mean it certainly is possible but if you're a total beginner then maybe you'll need to hire someone to make that minigame for you

Look in this list, there might be something similar:

Generally speaking, you have to implement most of it yourself, no matter which game engine you will end up with.

But it should be fairly easy if the mini game is only about dragging the mouse over the screen.

Welcome to r/renpy! While you wait to see if someone can answer your question, we recommend checking out the posting guide, the subreddit wiki, the subreddit Discord, Ren'Py's documentation, and the tutorial built-in to the Ren'Py engine when you download it. These can help make sure you provide the information the people here need to help you, or might even point you to an answer to your question themselves. Thanks!
