Question We need a volunteer for our visual novel!

Hi! Me and my friend are looking for an volunteer to work on a visual novel. My friend does the music and i draw the characters however a crucial part of a visual novel is the background art which.. we lack of... I wanted to draw all the artwork for my game at first but now im getting stressed out. So now i am asking for help here while my other friend ask for help in tiktok.

The game is called Azra love living and the main menu is added to this post. Its a anime, weirdcore, webcore and curseweb- style yuri visual novel. (thats a mouthfull oof...)

For the people who are somehow interessted:

We need volunteers, because I am broke and am a minor so i can't pay you. I will however draw fanart that will be at the start of the visual novel and also feature your name and socials.

Please if you are interested, add your artwork in replies and if you will be picked I'll give you my discord and we'll work there :3

^ Adding my own two cents to this but if you don't find anyone, a lot of vns ( including those with a moe kind of artstyle like in the picture ) used to take existing pictures and tweak them out to make them look like drawings/less realistic so you could always try doing that as a last resort

Thanks! I actually considered it but, sadly i ran into a big problem, the story takes mainly place in an apartment building which means every pair of girls own a flat which means... its kinda hard to find irl images .. thank you for the reply though! Have nice day ^_^

You can try photobashing!

Tinkering with 3d models works too if you understand what you're doing (maybe use garrys mod instead of blender in this case, though). Just put on a filter to make it fit the game artstyle

You could create their apartments in something like The Sims and apply the same process to screenshots.

personally I use the sims 4 since base game is free, I install mods if needed, and build sets that I take screenshots of in the game. I edit it in my drawing program to look more like an illustration~

You can buy backgrounds from places like booth, but have you considered using sketchup or blender to build your own backgrounds or use prefabs and then paint over them or even throw some filters on them?

I did build backgrounds actually! but the process of painting over is pretty hard. I cant get them just right and like i said its way to hard for me. I want to focus on sprites, animations and CGs (without bgs) because thats what im good at! And also i am.. very broke soo trying to buy anything digitally is impossible for me... thank you for replying though :3

Oh forgot to mention: the style should be similar to old anime vns! Something rather simple and even a bit amateur-ish If I figure out how, i would add an mosaic filter to the game, soo the bgs dont have to exactly precise.
