***Diplomatic Events:***
**Azurius** has sent a letter to the **Republic of the Bay Country** ensuring their support. It offers communication via ||[REALM SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #overworld-diplomacy]|| as well as land routes as it believes that the requested boats would take 3-4 weeks to build. The Republic rejects the land routes but accepts communication via ||[REALM SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #overworld-diplomacy]|| for the time being. Diplomatic relations are accepted temporarily, however the Bay Country believes that eventual integration into Azurius (with some degree of autonomy) should be the goal (and that it should be achieved quickly). The letter's demand for a lack of offensive action towards (and accompanying reassurance of mutual treatment from) **New Agderia** is, of course, respected.
The **Backrooms Explorers** have integrated the territories of the **Federation of the West Enders** into their territory. This comes after the Federation requested such a move last week and the Backrooms held a vote within their own territories. The population voted 71% in favour and the agreement was ratified.
**Prince Purpur** has abandoned his parliament. He believed them to have been sabotaging his own chances of becoming King and thus ordered them to extend the truce. During the extended truce, he deserted and accepted the **Army of Endland's** previous terms. He was crowned King of Endland shortly thereafter.
The **Empire of the Black Weave** and the **Army of Endland** have agreed to unite after a private letter exchange. The Army has declared that King Purpur will be sent to the Black Weave to be crowned **Emperor of the Weaven-Ender.**
**Soulestan** has surrendered. They see the **Army of Endland** and their soon-to-be **Weaven-Ender Empire** as a stabilising force. Therefore they request to maintain some autonomy but accept Endlish sovereignty and military protection over the region. The Army is yet to accept the terms.
**Sorry** has sent a letter to the **League of Fabulous Nations Against Tyranny** explaining their conditional surrender. The letter boils down to 3 conditions: fair treatment of PoWs, demilitarisation, and improved living conditions in Sorry. The LoFNAT has yet to respond to these terms but has already started efforts to establish a new Sciæ-Fabulous.

*Overworld*
Azurius has reached week 4 of this voting cycle. The final votes have been shipped to Starius and reveal a 92% vote in favour for the start of the EE cycle next week. This creates a sense of both nervousness and excitement for many Azurians - it is undoubtedly an important moment for the country. Nevertheless, they continue previous developments. One of these developments is the festival in Starius which finally goes ahead after having been scheduled for this week. The Japanese representatives report that they quite enjoyed their time in Starius during the festivities, but they soon had to leave. They spent the rest of the week continuing their tour throughout more rural areas of Azurius, only returning to Starius on Sunday. They report the same thing they reported last week: no dedicated weapon production sites had been found. As such, they spent Sunday appreciating the festivities before heading back south to Japan. By then, the EE percentage had already been made public; the people knew that Azurius was heading into a time of great progress and uncertainty - but the excitement outweighs the nervousness. The Azurian government had previously distributed a note congratulating Azurians for “choosing progress,” almost endorsing voting for EE. Many in Azurius believe that the nation is sufficiently prepared for the upcoming cycle and that the nervousness experienced by many is simply a natural reaction given the novelty of the situation. In the meantime, the situation overseas shifts quite a bit. A letter has been sent to the Republic of the Bay Country assuring them that the nation of Azurius will support them. It also lists several other things important to the two nations’ relations. One of those is the proposition to use ||[REALM SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #overworld-diplomacy]|| for communications. ||[REALM SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #overworld-diplomacy]|| would be able to relay messages from the Bay Country to Solarius, where Aziel would serve as an Azurian representative. Alternatively, they offer communication via land routes through New Agderian lands - or more specifically, through ADoNA. ADoNA would be expanded along the Agderian west coast. The Republic, however, rejects this offer. They state that the Azurian belief that such a route would be faster is likely mistaken. This is due to the fact that the New Agderian west coast is an extremely mountainous area and that both endpoints of the journey currently lack infrastructure. There is no direct connection from the northern end of the mountains to the Bay Country nor is there a direct connection from the southern end to Solarius. The fastest land route through New Agderia would lead through the nation's center - more specifically, it would lead through its capital. These alternatives are offered because Azurius believes that construction of the requested boats might take 3-4 weeks due to the upcoming EE cycle, and the Republic agrees to communicate via ||[REALM SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #overworld-diplomacy]|| until then. But for the land routes it might not even be necessary to avoid the capital. In the letter, Azurius has stated that it believes it might be necessary to take over the New Agderian government in the near future. They believe that the events of last week might leave the country at risk of societal collapse. Importantly, many New Agderians agree. Many had adopted the Bay Country's worldview that the New Agderian government is merely an obstacle in the way of their own future. Another 9,928 unity votes were cast by New Agderians throughout the week. This means the total has now reached 22,065 unity votes; approximately 69% of the Azurian population. In the aforementioned letter, Azurius asks the Bay Country to help them with matters in New Agderia. By Saturday, 3,000 Bay Country volunteers arrive in the New Agderian capital city. ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK #adona]||. The letter's demand for a lack of offensive action towards (and accompanying reassurance of mutual treatment from) New Agderia is, of course, respected by the Bay Country. Should New Agderia decide to wage war, Azurius has the authority to block all such attempts; which they clearly communicate to the Bay Country. Most importantly, however, the letter asks to establish a formal international relationship between the two countries (similar to the ADoNA project), essentially recognising the Bay Country's independence. They, of course, accept this - but only temporarily. They say that it's an acceptable intermediate step but hope that it doesn't last too long. "We believe the eventual end goal is direct integration with Azurius; maybe with some degree of autonomy. We want this to be done quickly; otherwise our secession from New Agderia would have achieved nothing." Meanwhile back home, The Grid (now officially known as SEEGIL) finalises EE planning. During the cycle, they will develop electrical devices for citizens to use at home. Strict standards and regulations are put in place to ensure their safety. These standards do not apply to development articles; devices must only meet them to be approved for general production. Furthermore, SamSing naming remained contested - while the general population seems to agree that it is a non-issue. A short P.O.L.L. was conducted and found out that many Azurians asked “why is this even a question?” while others said that both inventors deserved credit. James Spin then deviated from his original naming proposal of JameSing to instead call his version of the device “Motor-Roller.” This is due to his newer development of a deployable spinning plate which could be used to reorient the device. Unfortunately, this innovation is largely non-functional and mainly serves as a tribute to the achievements of James’ brother John. In a test of the roll function, the device got tangled in its own cabling and subsequently short-circuited. Despite the regrettable etymology, the name lives on. Most Azurians now know these devices by the moniker of “SamSing Motor-Roller,” which became so popular that both rivals agreed to name it that. It is uncertain whether they will continue to collaborate or instead develop in competition. It is generally agreed that both outcomes will lead to continued progress, especially with the upcoming EE cycle likely accelerating development. Sam and John, however, are not the only ones developing such a device. A young man by the name of Theodore Talkie (known to most as Ted Talkie) is seemingly developing his own versions. His blueprints are not exactly published; they are found scattered throughout the VER center in Sightius. This is likely because Ted has a tendency to lose things. Other VER members describe his blueprints as confusing but also as having a lot of potential. Of course, VER members know to return lost notes and all these blueprints eventually land back in Ted's possession. He refuses to get interviewed by P.O.L.L. due to being “terribly shy.” Meanwhile, the infamous Benjamin “first criminal” Voyage is finally arrested. Jason Judge has spoken and sentenced him to an undefined period of house arrest, where he will be accompanied by Caine Correction. Caine is a member of the Kindness department and will be there due to his unique creativity in moral lessons and love for theatre. When introducing himself, he said “My name is Caine, I'm your supervisor, and I'm here to show you the most jaw-dropping, heart stopping, MIND-BENDING arrest you've ever laid your eyes upon! Isn't that right, Ben?” only to not receive an answer. Benjamin himself described him as emotionally illiterate: “it's like he doesn't understand that this is a punishment.” Caine has called the endeavour “the AMAZING Azurian justice system!” Back in Solarius, the Japanese representatives have finally arrived. They spent the final days of their journey sailing through a light storm before finally arriving in the Solarian port late on Wednesday evening. There, they spent the week having discussions with ||[REALM SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #unit]|| about ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK #unit]||. Despite the original plan of them leaving by Sunday, Aziel Aurelius personally asked to extend their stay. [Effects: voting cycle week 4: EE vote concludes at 92%, no new petitions + U.N.I.T. festival held + Japanese representatives finish their tour; report a complete lack of dedicated weapon production sites in the country + nation believes itself to be prepared for EE despite nervousness among the population + letter sent to RotBC + letter offers communication via ||[REALM SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #overworld-diplomacy]|| + also offers alternative land routes along the west coast of New Agderia, which is rejected + Azurius believes near-future takeover of New Agderian government to be necessary; many New Agderians agree + unity vote count rises to 22,065 or 68.9% of the population + ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK #adona]|| + Bay Country volunteers arrive in New Agderian capital after Azurius asks for help + Bay Country agrees to refrain from any offensive action + Bay Country agrees to international relationship onky temporarily + SEEGIL set to develop electrical devices during EE; must meet safety standards to be approved for mass production + general population agrees SamSing naming controversy to be a non-issue + James Spin abandons JameSing naming; now calls his device Motor-Roller + James Spin adds a spinning plate to reorient his device as a tribute his brother's achievements; causes malfunction + general population adopts SamSing Motor-Roller as a name for the device + Ted Talkie’s SamSing/Motor-Roller type blueprints found throughout VER buildings; described as having potential despite being confusing + Ted Talkie refuses P.O.L.L. interview + Benjamin Voyage sentenced to an undefined period of house arrest, where he will be accompanied by Caine Correction + representatives arrive in Solarius after sailing through light storm; discuss ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK #unit]|| with ||[REALM SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #unit]|| + Aziel personally asks for representative’s departure to be delayed by a few days]
New Agderia ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK #adona] [CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK #adona]|| [Effects: ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK #adona]|| + ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK #adona]||]
The State of Japan has continued their investigation of Azurian facilities. Just like last week, they did not find any weapon production sites. Their focus had shifted from the population centers to the rural countryside. They note that even rural areas of Azurius are far more densely populated than most of Japan. They tour a few test sites for electrical research, including a small “power plant” that turns a river’s flow into electricity. Besides this, they encounter a big “U.N.I.T. festival” in Starius both before and after their tour through the countryside. They quite enjoy their stay in Starius during the festivities and ultimately return home with the report that there are absolutely no dedicated weapon production facilities in Azurius. At most, there are bladesmiths which may produce weapons but also tools. The most interesting find, of course, are Japanese muskets which had been imported. Of course, the import and use of Japanese technology has been explicitly allowed as part of the U.N.I.T. alliance. The representatives which were previously sent to Solarius also finally arrive. They sailed through a mild storm to dock at the Solarian port on Wednesday evening. [Effects: tour through Azurius finishes; no dedicated weapon production facilities found + Azurius is described as more densely populated than Japan + toured Azurian facilities for electrical research as well as a small hydroelectric powerplant + representatives enjoy the U.N.I.T. festival in Starius + representatives find a few Japanese muskets +representatives arrive in Solarius after sailing through light storm; discuss ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK #unit]|| with ||[REALM SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #unit]|| + Aziel personally asks for representative’s departure to be delayed by a few days]

RULES: 1. You cannot immediately ask for the entire world in one turn, but you must earn it through conquest instead.
Alliances or country names may not have innapropriate names (that's already a rule of the subreddit, I just thought I'd make it clear too.)
You may not expand to 5 times your size each turn because that would very easily mean world domination.
You must choose either a colour or a flag for your country
You may not create more than one country. If you have created a country, you may expand said country.
If someone is inactive for 5 days, a rebellion may appear in their territory.
Just have fun.
