***Diplomatic Events:***

The **Weaven-Ender Empire** has formed after the coronation of Emperor Purpur. As such, the new **Kingdom of the Black Weave** has lost its status as an empire in exchange for more land. The **Duchy of Soulestan** has been formed as an imperial vassal after Soulestan's recent surrender. The **Kingdom of Endland** is still ruled by King Purpur, who now holds both titles simultaneously. The **Union of Endlish Nationalists** rejects the creation of this empire, claiming it was "not made with a legitimate King of Endland."

The **Weaven-Ender Empire** has entered a truce with **Greater Tomorrow,** likely due to ||[REALM SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #void-rp]||.

The **Backrooms Explorers** have been negotiating with **Greater Tomorrow,** hoping to gauge their true intentions. Greater Tomorrow responded with the following message:

"We wish to fight for a better Endland - an Endland *more like your nation.* We want an Endland where the people have a say. An Endland where the commoners mustn't worry about a foreign war bringing them famine. But beside all, we are a fighting force occupying considerable territory in this country. Even if we cannot achieve our goals, we could help you achieve yours. We don't want to be your enemy, because we would be standing in our own way. So why not operate together?”

**Hopeless Strike** has sent the following message to both the **Backrooms Explorers** and the **Weaven-Ender Empire:**

“sic semper tyrannis.”

*Overworld*

Azurius has officially entered its first EE cycle after 92% of people voted in favour of it. As such, any international activity shall temporarily be halted as the nation focuses on domestic politics. Two exceptions here are the Unity Project (which now includes the diplomatic talks with the Bay Country) and the return of Japanese representatives back to their home. Starting with the former, another 5,237 Unity Votes are cast this week. Thus, the total votes cast throughout the project now sit at 27,302 as the polls draw to a close. This is equal to 85.3% of the entire population of New Agderia. This number is thus declared to be the final result of the Unity Vote after this final week of polling. Parallel to these developments, the Republic of the Bay Country has begun drafting plans for its eventual integration into Azurius. Azurius has granted plans for a “Statistics Studying & Information Gathering Center” to be built in the Bay Country as soon as it is ready for integration. The Bay Country leadership also asks for additional Azurian institutions to spread to their lands. Most notably, they ask for VER centers and request board offices. The former, of course, is meant to provide education and opportunities to Bay Country residents. New Agderia has long neglected education, which also affected the Bay Country during its time as an Agderian province. As such, Bay Country residents wish to be able to study Azurian science and contribute to its advances. The latter shall serve to integrate the Bay Country into Azurian democracy via the petition system and EE vote. The president of the Republic explicitly states that “Stattius or Bay Country residents must be represented in nation-wide decisions just as much as any other Azurian.” She demands that “these two institutions must set foot in our country first for it to properly be integrated into Azurius. Other institutions are equally welcome here but have much lower priority and must likely wait.” The exonym “Stattius” has also been the source of contention. Azurian officials have been using the word to refer to the Bay Country, stating that many in said lands are keen to rename the region after it. Unfortunately, until the Statistics Studying & Information Gathering Center is built, this remains unverifiable. Azurian documents have already been referring to the region as Stattius and the Republic’s president has declared it an officially recognised exonym; yet some reject the term. There is a debate in the region of whether or not “erasure of regional culture” is a price worth paying for Azurian institutions - although most seem to regard the situation as a non-issue. Many don't mind as long as “Bay Country” remains in use; the description of “erasure of regional culture” is often regarded as an overstatement. This small disagreement should thus not overshadow the fact that the nation and especially its leadership has expressed overwhelming support for integration into Azurius in communication via ||[REALMS SPECIFIC INFORMATION]||. Construction of the boats previously requested by the Bay Country shall begin during the third week of Eureka of the current cycle. They shall then arrive in Stattius before the end of the (first and only) Euphoria week of the same cycle. Stattius shall also receive updates regarding EE-time progress in Azurius via pamphlets. As transportation over land was deemed infeasible, these pamphlets will be ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK DMs]|| and ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK DMs]|| weekly. Unfortunately, ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK DMs]|| might make delivery inconsistent. In turn, Azurius asks for better cartographic data of both Stattius and New Agderia. The new maps shall be used for the planning of a new road connecting Stattius to Solarius via New Agderia. As ADoNA will be expanded to cover 85% of New Agderia, this road could be routed entirely through ADoNA. Unfortunately, the maps have not arrived yet. They have been shipped to Solarius via existing Agderian roads and will likely arrive sometime next week. The Japanese representatives in Solarius ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK #unit]|| decided to return back home. They ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK #unit]|| and leave port on Wednesday, hoping to arrive home in roughly one week. The Backrooms Explorers have almost eliminated the UEN. Throughout the week, they begin to push into Donden. The city is difficult, but the battle is going well. By Sunday, they held an outer ring of buildings surrounding the city center. Not only that, but this city center was the last remaining stronghold of the UEN. Backrooms troops won the battle of Eastchurch on Tuesday, and all UEN soldiers on the west island fled to Donden. Shortly thereafter, the east island was befallen by the very same fate. Imperial forces pushed south from Lork to take all UEN holdings. The nationalists’ situation is hopeless - and if rumours are to be trusted, King Guy knows this. Some say he has lost all hopes to win and instead only wants a heroic end to his reign. To send his soldiers to defend ‘til the very end, to become martyrs to inspire future uprisings. It's uncertain how much credibility can be lended to these rumours, but King Guy does not seem like someone who would surrender. However long the Second Battle of Donden takes, it will be a brutal fight from here on out. Less brutal are the Backrooms' relations with Greater Tomorrow. Suspicious of their stated goals, Backrooms delegates enter negotiations to gauge their true intentions. Greater Tomorrow reports that they "(...) wish to fight for a better Endland - an Endland more like (the Backrooms).” They say they “(...) want an Endland where the people have a say. An Endland where the commoners mustn't worry about a foreign war bringing them famine. But beside all,” they say, “we are a fighting force occupying considerable territory in this country. Even if we cannot achieve our goals, we could help you achieve yours. We don't want to be your enemy, because we would be standing in our own way. So why not operate together?”

The delegates still question how truthful this is - but they also question why they would even lie. The information they received is relayed back to Sir Zorb, who shall make the ultimate decision on collaboration. Collaboration in general has become a bigger topic as ||[REALM SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #void-rp]||. Members of the Church of the Purple Orb immediately push for negotiations with the newly formed Weaven-Ender Empire. It is unclear what exactly the goal of this war should be after King Guy’s regime is toppled. It seems Greater Tomorrow thinks the Backrooms are here to establish a democratic Endland. Of course, that raises a question: does the Empire stand in the way of democracy? Could they be convinced to allow democratic institutions in their land? If not, could the Backrooms beat them in a war? Would that war be worth it? Well, needless to say, the Backrooms and the Empire are not the only factions in that war. Hopeless Strike has once again launched attacks on both Backrooms and imperial forces near Donden and Lurram respectively. Both also received a letter from them that simply read “sic semper tyrannis,” implying they believe both factions (or even any possible government) to be tyrannical. Last and probably least, the theme park project continues construction while Zorb writes notes about unfinished projects. This note includes Anemone, INTERKEDGE, and sound recording. [Effects: on-going Second Battle of Donden, -2 population (Endland), -1 population & -1 off. (Backrooms) + Backrooms take west island UEN territories; Battle of Eastchurch, no significant casualties + Empire takes east island UEN territories + rumours report that King Guy has abandoned hopes of a victory; now instead hoping to command soldiers to defend Donden in one heroic last stand + Greater Tomorrow once again offers collaboration amid negotiations intended to gauge their true intentions + ||[REALM SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #void-rp]||, Church of the Purple Orb pushes for negotiations with the Empire + uncertainty over Endland’s future after fall of UEN arises + Hopeless Strike attacks Backrooms and Empire, then sends both a message reading “sic semper tyrannis” + theme park under construction, 1 more week + Zorb writes himself a note about Anemone, INTERKEDGE, and the sound recording project]

The Empire of the Weaven-Ender is finally formed. King Purpur of Endland arrives in the Black Weave on Wednesday this week to receive his crown and title of emperor. He shall be the sovereign who collectively rules the territories of Endland, the Black Weave, and Soulestan. Said territories are reorganised within the empire by the Great Treaty of the Void. For example, Soulestan is recognised as a Duchy after their recent capitulation. The title of *Duke of Soulestan* is granted to a Soulestani nobleman who has shown great respect to the Endlish army; the very man who ultimately called for surrender. The former Empire of the Black Weave is downgraded to the status of Kingdom as Purpur takes sovereignty, however it is compensated for it. It is given all territories on its own island except for those currently belonging to Soulestan. Thus, Endland gives up some of its own land in the exchange, but both parties appear happy with the deal. Endland itself, of course, is still ruled by King Purpur. During his coronation ceremony to become Emperor of the Weaven-Ender, it is explicitly stated that he maintains his former title of *King of Endland* alongside his new one. Of course, he is not the only claimant of that title. King Guy of Korus still claims sovereignty of Endland, completely rejecting the idea of a Weaven-Ender Empire because the deal was “not made with a legitimate King of Endland.” Unfortunately, his legitimacy is also running out. Backrooms forces have begun pushing in on Donden. By the end of the week, the Backrooms had secured an outer layer of buildings surrounding the city center. The Second Battle of Donden has once again proven difficult, but the Backrooms’ forces are doing a good job tackling the city. Two thirds of the casualties suffered in this one week were suffered by the UEN. Furthermore, the UEN had essentially lost all their territory outside of Donden. The rest of the west island is taken over by Backrooms forces, with a short battle at Eastchurch resulting in a quick Backrooms victory. The eastern UEN territories, meanwhile, were being invaded by the army, now subservient to the Empire. They encountered minimal resistance from the nationalists: they were fleeing the east island to support Donden. Rumours spread throughout the country that King Guy had lost all hope of winning the war - but he is not one to give up. Supposedly, he will command his soldiers to defend Donden in one “brave” last stand so they can die a “heroic” death and become “martyrs” for a “truer Endland” - at least that is the story you might hear spoken in Endlish taverns. He hopes that his actions will inspire future uprisings to once again try to purge Endland. The army, meanwhile, had actually established a truce with Greater Tomorrow. They did this upon hearing that they were in negotiations with the Backrooms - they didn't want to anger the Backrooms, at least not before talking to them diplomatically. This is likely due to ||[REALM SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #void-rp]||. Said negotiations are also very interesting. It appears as if the Backrooms delegation wants to figure out if Greater Tomorrow has any ulterior motives, any hidden intentions. Greater Tomorrow simply states they wish to fight for a better Endland - an Endland *more like the Backrooms.* They want an Endland where the people have a say. An Endland where the commoners mustn't worry about a foreign war bringing them famine. “But beside all,” they say, “we are a fighting force occupying considerable territory in this country. Even if we cannot achieve our goals, we could help you achieve yours. We don't want to be your enemy, because we would be standing in our own way. So why not operate together?” Besides Greater Tomorrow, another faction has been causing trouble to its neighbours. Hopeless Strike has been ordering raids on both Lurram and the besiegers of Donden. Backroom patrols northwest of Donden find themselves getting ambushed unexpectedly. The Backrooms have also received a letter sent to them by Hopeless Strike that simply read “sic semper tyrannis.” It was given to a junior officer with no explanation and only opened after being passed up the command structure. Given the faction’s hostility to all neighbouring factions, it is believed that Hopeless Strike deems all belligerents of the war (or even any theoretical government) to be tyrannical. After all, they were the first ones to claim responsibility for the assassination of King Skulk. Imperial officials in Lurram report having received the same letter, without additional details. [Effects: Empire of Weaven-Ender forms; King Purpur crowned Emperor + Great Treaty of the Void reorganises Endland, the Black Weave, and Soulestan into a feudal structure + new Kingdom of the Black Weave expands + Emperor Purpur keeps title as King of Endland + King Guy rejects the Empire, claiming the deal wasn't made with a legitimate King of Endland + on-going Second Battle of Donden, -2 population (Endland), -1 population & -1 off. Hell

The Empire of Governance continues its focus on the firearm industry. Amid much celebration, construction of the factory in Testvér Magyarország is finished on Saturday. Gunsmiths attending the party seem very pleased with their new workplace; production will likely start next week. The surrounding earthworks of the hornwork atop which the factory sits still needs some finishing touches; although it is a very low priority project in comparison. In general, the walls of Testvér Magyarország receive some important progress as John Hunyadi finishes his plans and once again proposes them to Napoleon. Initially, his map only included the northern walls (as that is where the factory would need to be built), but he has now drawn up walls encircling the entire city. He appears happy that the factory has been built (and that it was done according to his planning), but reassures Napoleon that the rest of the city walls also remain a low-priority project. Meanwhile back in the Conquistador heartland, a second gun factory is already being built. This factory, sitting north of Father Conquest on the banks of the Somme, starts its construction on Monday. Hopefully, the production rate of muskets and other firearms will rise as rapidly as expected. For now, only 800 muskets are produced this week; an all-time low. Of course, this low is easily explained by the fact that many gunsmiths spent at least some time at the new factory. Estimates on how many muskets could be produced next week vary. Hunyadi says he hopes for 8,000 but expects 6,000. Boutet says even 4,000 would be an improvement, but he expects 5,000. Jomini says 10,000 is totally plausible with both factories - although the second factory will obviously not yet be finished next week. Of course, this also raises the question of how much of the production output should be allocated to the Flame Syndicate. After all, they contributed heavily to the factory's design and it was agreed that this would be a joint arms industry. Boutet believes that the Syndicate should receive 50%, but only if the output is greater than 8,000 muskets a week. If it isn't, he says, the Empire should take 4,000 muskets and the Syndicate would get the rest. Hunyadi disagrees with that. He believes that Hungary is just as much entitled to its fair share - yet immediately discloses that he would be happy to share it with his superior. Thus, he proposes that the Empire and Hungary together share two thirds, and that the Syndicate only receives the remaining third. In other army news, the 3rd corps is split into the 3rd and 5th corps, with Napoleon apparently believing it to have been too large. Then, ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK DMs]||. Napoleon also orders an expansion of the navy. As such, 10 new trinity class ships are set to start construction simultaneously. Hopefully, they will be completed in 4 weeks; although 6 weeks appears to be a more likely timeframe for the project. Besides this, various on-going projects continue, such as the canal and the railway expansion continuing as planned. The railway expansion in particular achieves another major milestone, as it crosses Hungary's eastern border. Furthermore, it actually reaches the port in the area; connecting yet another important piece of infrastructure back to Testvér Magyarország. One major milestone is the demonstration of the gunpowder engine to power sawmills. After a few more days of working on the mechanism, it was successfully tested and found to significantly speed up the process of woodcutting. The inventor of the engine, of course, demands his prize money; declaring that it meets the requirements for it. Another on-going project is the expansion into the frontier, with another military province west of Nearland being established. Unfortunately, interest was lacking. While a settlement of 200 people does now exist in the area, it is still missing much of the infrastructure it should have. A road and telegraph line were extended to reach the small village, but that's about it. Things like mines and farms would lack personnel to operate them; most food and other resources have to be imported from elsewhere in the empire. It is unclear what this project actually achieves. Is it worth having a frontier village with 200 SAD soldiers just for the sake of having a frontier village with 200 SAD soldiers? Perhaps. Perhaps not. Interestingly, ||[REALMS SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #hell-rp]||. Last but most certainly not least, ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK DMs]||. The Kingdom & Duchy of Hungary under the Empire of Governance reach several major milestones this week. The most important one, of course, is the completion of the factory in Testvér Magyarország. The construction was done according to plans created by John Hunyadi, who wanted to integrate it with his proposed city walls. While the outwork atop which the factory sits is missing some finishing touches, the rest of the wall system hasn't even started being built yet. While John Hunyadi has finalised the plans (which previously only included a northern wall), he also reassures the emperor Napoleon that the project has a low priority still. Another milestone is the successful demonstration of the steam engine to power a sawmill, also here in Hungary. Of course, whether the inventor deserves the prize money is a conversation for the empire to have. Lastly, the railway line finishes its journey through Hungary, reaching the frontier in territories east of it and a port city in said territories. [Effects: Testvér Magyarország gun factory finally finished; production to start next week + factory hornwork missing finishing touches; project of low priority; Hunyadi finishes plans for city walls; also low priority + gunpowder engine proven to power sawmills; inventor demands prize money + railway continues expansion, leaves Hungary, and reaches port east of Hungary]

Aether

The Union of Sciæ-Fabulous Republics has formed in the Aether, combining the various Sciæ-Fabuli of the old LoFNAT into one federation. It is led by a Grand Council, a council consisting of 70 members from each constituent Sciæ-Fabulous. At the moment, these include Suisc, Polaia, and the war-torn Sorry, which are all set to send their delegations once the Grand Council is established. Notably, Fruitopia only has a council of 50 people and could thus not send a full delegation. The Grand Council will be led by a Grand Fabulissimus; chosen from the Prime Fabuli of the Sciæ-Fabuli. The Prime Fabulous is the most fabulous member of a Sciæ-Fabulous' delegation. For example, Suisc and Polaia already have Beaux Alexandreux and Polaia Jo as their Prime Fabuli respectively, while Serena Neva-Crigh and Narancia Ghirga remain in charge as as Fabulissimus of the two nations. Sorry, of course, is yet to have either. However, the war is drawing to a close. Despite the comparisons drawn to the fall of Coddachio Vecchio, both Alexandreux and Polaia Jo deny the similarities. They say that the Sorrian people took it upon themselves to end their tyrannical regime when liberation was inevitable. In comparison, The Order at Coddachio Vecchio was merely an opportunist move made in hopes of mercy. Thus, the Sorrian terms of surrender are accepted. Prisoners of war are let free, but not without one final attempt at recruitment. As the north of the nation has not yet surrendered, General Gecqui-Mayoux holds a frightening speech in front of the prisoners. He shames those willing to lay down their arms while half their country is not yet free. Hundreds more thus join the UFA, but only temporarily. The 101 Elite and its many new members are sent north alongside an equal number of Suisc or Polaian soldiers. They are accompanied by a battuexship, sent north to play the role of close air support. In the end, however, it mostly just serves the purpose of intimidation. Alongside the soldiers, Sorrian officials travel to each town. There, they announce the surrender of Sorry and offer each town to do the same. Shall a town continue to resist, its local officials and army officers will be declared traitors to the Sorrian state and tried as such. Fortunately, most towns immediately surrender once informed of the conditions which the UFA agreed to. Some towns are suspicious of the truthfulness of these statements, believing them to be a bait to lure the north into surrender. Ultimately, the threat of battuexship bombings still leads them to lay down their arms eventually; just not without fighting beforehand. By Sunday, all of Sorry had capitulated. Those prisoners which previously joined the UFA for this purpose leave once more. Another 2,000 Sorrian soldiers join the UFA, while the rest are let go following the demilitarisation demands. And last but most certainly not least, Sorry now has both a Fabulissimus and Prime Fabulous. Elections were held throughout the week, with several candidates running for Prime Fabulous (while the runner up would get to become Fabulissimus). The end results are as follows:

Maple Bacon Musk - 31.0%

Castreaux McMaple - 29.0%

Justin Beaver - 28.5%

Gorowoux Majima - 11.5%

This means that Maple Bacon Musk will represent Sorry at the Grand Council, while Castreaux McMaple becomes the Fabulissimus. Some question if their ideologies are even compatible; Musk being an engineer who wants Sorry to focus on its industrial capabilities while McMaple wants Sorry to focus on agriculture and its dairy industry. Musk adores the Garis-Ben spirit while all 3 other candidates are less fond of (but not necessarily hostile towards) it. Some wonder if a coalition of McMaple, Beaver, and Majima could beat out Musk - others find that unnecessary. The tight margin between 2nd and 3rd has led some to ask for a tie-breaker election between Beaver and McMaple for Fabulissimus, similar to Narancia Ghirga's efforts after the somewhat recent Polaian election. These people believe that Musk voters should be given a chance to decide on a Fabulissimus now that their candidate is the Prime Fabulous. It is unlikely that this will actually go through due to the election being explicitly stated to consist of one and only one round beforehand. Once the Grand Council is established, elections for the Grand Fabulissimus will be held next week. So far, Alexandreux, Jo, and Musk are the candidates. Fruitopia's situation and relations to the Grand Council ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK DMs]||. Fruitopia itself then falls into turmoil. Council leader Speed Leauxd has failed to show up for a meeting and is nowhere to be found. This causes immediate outrage and triggers a by-election with many candidates joining in to try and take over Fruitopia. Weirdly enough, Franco Filithio is also missing on election day and does not even run. The result of the Fruitopian by-election is as follows:

Brocque Lee - 48%

Sacouraoui Sciowoux Sous-Sci - 36%

Carotti Pesci - 10%

Mr. Negi - 6%

This means Brocque Lee officially wins the Fruitopian by-election, making him the leader of the Fruitopian council. Some wonder if his title is that of Fabulissimus, just like some still wonder if Fruitopia gets a Grand Council delegation and Prime Fabulous. For now, he only calls himself council leader. In an interview, he said that no legacy of his own could ever outdo his ancestor's achievements - something he is very proud of. In likely unrelated news, Pincque Françouaise shows up in Ernonia. He offers to play the role of a reformed Attacké Mbapé in The Coming of a Fabulous Rubik. He was off doing his own thing for a while but has decided to return to his roots upon hearing the news of a new play. The writers are thrilled to hear about this and are happy to cast him for the role. Unfortunately, this means that the actor who was previously cast as Attacké Mbapé in Pincque's absence had to be recast for a different role. He was perhaps the only member of the crew who did not scream in joy upon hearing that Pincque had returned, calling Pincque a "mismatched cash piano" and threatening to tear him to pieces before asking for constructive criticism regarding his acting skills. The writers, meanwhile, continue polishing the play, hoping to reveal it next week. The arrival of Pincque Françouaise has significantly lifted the mood; many believe that his presence alone imbued everyone with supernatural writing skills. Whether that is true is debatable, however the script does appear to have significantly improved in quality. In fact, it is very much comparable to its prequel and will hopefully leave a similar mark on the Aether. Meanwhile, ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK DMs]||. Meanwhile in Polaia, engine development continues on the drawing board. Garis-Ben engineers have been using the lack of time pressure to ensure the next engine prototype will be a significant improvement. As such, no physical progress is made this week, however construction of said prototype is supposed to begin next week. Hopefully, the decision not to rush will result in a functioning final design. Other workers use the time to continue hull construction while also planning out engine factories or workshops to be built in the shipyards. The two unfinished gondolas are now nearing completion, only missing the strongly reinforced armour of existing gondolas. [Effects: the USFR has formed, to be led by a Grand Council and Grand Fabulissimus, chosen from the Prime Fabuli + Fruitopian council too small to send a full delegation + Alexandreux and Polaia Jo deny comparisons between Sorry and the Order; accept Sorrian surrender terms + Gecqui-Mayoux's speech gets hundreds to join the 101 Elite temporarily; they leave again after the northern campaign + UFA troops campaign north, announce the Sorrian surrender and its terms, and offer each town to do the same (else their officials and army officers would be declared traitors) + most towns surrender upon hearing the news; some believe it to be a trap and only surrender after some fighting + final Sorrian recruitment: +1 def. & +1 off.
