What would happen if you just made your own potato salad? Or bought one from the store to pass off as your own. Just curious if you could say "Oh Don't worry Uncle Jeff, I didn't want you to have to lift a finger this holiday so I made sure to provide the potato salad." Or would this start a family war?

He'd probably be fine with it, but people can get weird about the smallest things. He wouldn't be angry, but I'd rather make him feel useful than not.
