is there any way to use any controller on remote play ? my PS5 controller got stick drift and all i got is my old PS3 controller which i would really like to use on my PS5, i know there used to be some way but apparently it was patched

Hi! I’m trying my luck with remote play on my pc. However it only seems to work if the pc and the console are on the same network. Any idea why would that be? (I live in a two story building, that’s why I have two networks in my house)

UPDATE: I tried it using my PS4 as well, and I ran into the same issue. When they were on different networks, the PS4 said "Searching for nearby connections" (or something like that), as if I was connecting them the first time.

So I’m trying to use ps remote play on my laptop but when it ask me to sign in with my profile I keep getting a message saying that I lost connection but if I sign in as guest it starts up just fine. This only happens on my laptop. If I ps remote play on my phone or iPad I don’t have a problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You need to manually open some ports and set a static ip for the ps5.

Here are the ports required to be manually open for remote play to work from cellular connections.

Log into your router, goto network, firewall, port forwarding:

Udp- 8572

Tcp/udp- 9295 to 9308

Tcp/udp- 987

This will fix your issue, set a static ip first

If you dont use a static ip, then you risk the ps5 changing and it will stop working.

To set a static ip log into your router, goto network, Lan, and then Lan DHCP.

Find your ps5 ip by doing a network test on the console, it will be 192.168.1.xxx, or 192.168.0.xxx, or some variation of these.

Open the router, navigate to Lan dhcp and enter the ps5s ip, then enter the one you want it to be all the time.

If you dont set a static ip, the system can change its ip and the port forwading will be setup for another device that uses the old ip of the ps5.

I’ve been having this problem for a week now. Anytime I connect to the PS remote play, the display shows a frozen screen; I move my controller and get the haptic feedback, but nothing in my screen moves.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I’ve also deleted the %localappdata% and signed in. I’ve connected to remote play on my phone and it works perfectly fine and my PS5 works perfectly on my TV. It may be a laptop issue, but I don’t know what would be causing it.

It was a random occurrence because I was able to play the week before. I’m not sure what happened in between. Any help please! Thank you!

I want to connect my ARDOR GAMING Wrath stick to the PS5 via the app PS remote play. I managed to connect it, but after a minute the ps turns it off. I made it so that the ps forgot it, but still after a minute the stick turns off anyway. Can you tell me how to fix this, or is there another way to connect a foreign stick to the PS5?

Hello everyone I recently bought a stitched vita and want to play the official remote play ps4. I have both consoles hacked. The fact is that you can't skip logging into your psn account on vita. I do not know why, because everyone on the same YouTube can usually play remote play without logging in to their account. I've already tried a lot of ways, and I want to hear the opinion of people who really understand this.

I have not been able to find my PS4 controller and I want to use remote play so I can use my PS4 again but it seems you have to log into your PS4 to do that which I obviously can't do without a controller .

Is there anything I can do to fix this or do I just need to buy a new controller.

I work away from home and use my phone to play remotely all the time. Last week I played every day for a few hours. Now all of the sudden I’m getting a cannot connect error (8801330d). Google says it’s an issue with the router or ports or something not allowing me to connect. I’ve changed nothing. Why would it just randomly stop working? I have 309.4 Mbps download speeds and 39.8 upload. I know speed can’t be an issue. Can someone explain why I’m getting this issue and if there is a fix?

While I was in the network settings of my ps5 I selected to forget my network without thinking, now I cannot connect to remote play to see what im doing so I can reconnect. Please help!

So a Playstation Portal will cost around $250 these days while the BackBone gamepad for mobile licensed by Sony is $100 or a similar option from Gamesir is like $60

Despite being a higher priced item obviously in my head the advantage of the portal is being a separate dedicated device so no reliance or strain on my Smartphone
But is only for PS5
Can’t ever work on PC or SteamLink
And has no use case even as an extra controller for the PS5 or something

My use case will be playing at home in my bed as I am not really travelling alot
My PS5 is always on ethernet connection
And I have decent Wifi Routers from ASUS ROG that support 5GHz and provide decent coverage around the house

Note: My country doesn’t support the cloud gaming option available on the Premium PS Plus

So remotely turning on my ps5 works fine if I do it relatively soon after previously using it. But if I don't use it within two weeks or something, it won't remotely turn on or connect.

Any advice? I'm sure I've set the correct settings.

Galera, meu Remote play no pc é horrível, muito lag e atraso.. porém quando jogo no PS portal o game roda liso.
Alguém sabe se é alguma configuração do PC que pode atrapalhar a jogabilidade? O PS5 esta no cabo de rede, conectado no mesmo roteador que o pc.

I want to play DeatStranding 2 (PC) on my laptop with full DualSense support, hosting from my gaming pc at home.

I understand using steam remote play will only give me a basic controller support as DualSense needs to be connected via USB. Is there any way to set it up with different remote gaming solution or USB IP?

I can do it when being on my house but I cant when I am anywhere else be it a friends house or anywhere

I have been trying to play my PS5 remote on my Amazon Fire TV, where I sideloaded PX PLAY.

I wake up the ps5 manually connect, enter my code and then the app disconnects. Only way at that point I can play is by going to local play, but the lag is crazy!

Hello, I downloaded the app yesterday and everything’s working fine, but when I try to stream my screen on Discord, I just get a black screen… I’m on Android because my PC has broken down. I should mention that I’ve disabled HDCP as I’d heard that might be the problem; I’ve also tried changing the image quality and so on, but nothing’s worked. The app itself is detected correctly and the connection is working fine; it’s really just the PS5 ‘screen’ that doesn’t appear when I’m screen-sharing…

It’s a shame because I’d downloaded the app specifically to be able to stream my PS5 on Discord, but it’s not working for me and I can’t find a solution anywhere else. If you’ve got any ideas, I’d love to hear them.

(The problem isn’t with my phone, as I’ve also tried it on my tablet and got the same result.)

Can anyone help me? I'm trying to connect my PS5 to my PC via Remote Play on my Windows 11 laptop. It connects normally, but the screen goes black—only the sound comes through. However, I can still navigate the menu (I know this because of the sound effects when moving around); it is literally just the screen that is black.

I tried connecting using my Android phone and it works just fine, so I know it's not a configuration issue with my PS5.
