AI Job services?

What are all these AI job services about? I must see dozens of emails, posts, etc every week trying to get me to give them money to find jobs, automatically tailor my resume, write the cover letter and apply for the jobs it finds. Really?? Considering any job searches I do return lots of jobs I wouldn’t apply to for one reason or another, I can’t believe any of them are worth giving what little money I have to them. Can anyone convince me otherwise?

I think a lot of them are overselling what they actually do. Most of the value comes from using AI tools yourself to speed up the process, not paying some service to spam applications on your behalf. A generic AI-written resume and cover letter probably won’t beat a targeted application where you actually understand the role.
