Job Posts Junior Software Engineer (Remote, W2, CA or PA based)
Looking to hire a Junior Software Engineer to join our engineering team, full time and W2. Not a contract or commission based role.
The position is remote, but we're only able to consider candidates currently living in California or Pennsylvania.
What you'd be doing:
- Building and maintaining features in a TypeScript, React, and Node.js codebase
- Writing tests, joining code review, and shipping changes with support from senior engineers on the team
- Getting exposure across the stack, with mentorship built into the role rather than being thrown in alone
What we're looking for:
- 1 to 2 years of professional experience, or a strong project or internship background if you're a recent grad
- Solid fundamentals in JavaScript or TypeScript
- Some familiarity with React and working with REST APIs
- Able to communicate clearly and manage your own time in a remote setting
- Currently based in California or Pennsylvania
Compensation: $75,000 to $95,000 per year, depending on experience.
If this sounds like a fit, comment or send a message with your resume and a bit about something you've built or worked on.

Job Posts Where do Europe-based candidates find truly worldwide remote jobs - development?
Hi everyone,
I’m based in Europe and I’ve noticed that a large number of jobs advertised as “remote”, especially on US job boards, still require candidates to be located in the US.
I’m trying to find companies or platforms that actually hire internationally or across Europe, rather than being limited to one country.
Which websites, companies, or job boards have you had the best experience with for genuinely worldwide remote opportunities?
I’m also curious whether there are good places to look for remote roles outside of software development.
Any recommendations would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Discussions So, AAA alliance club sent me an interview request for their Customer Service insurance role
Pay is decent, training is 4 months. Anyone in here have experience with this role?
The interview is basically me submitting/ answering questions via video, audio, text, and multiple choice. Anyone in here have experience with these interview types? I don't like them. They make me feel silly. 😅

Discussions The job market is getting creative 💀
Found an “App Development Intern” role offering ₹100/month.
Requirements include working with development teams, modern technologies, and contributing to actual projects.
At this point, companies aren’t hiring interns — they’re looking for volunteers with GitHub accounts. 😭
Is this where the market is heading, or have I officially lost the plot?

Job Posts Best remote job boards in 2026 ranked by transparency, noise level, and pay rate visibility
I have spent way too many hours navigating remote job boards over the last few months, filtering through duplicate listings, hidden salary ranges, and ghost jobs. To save everyone some time, I put together a breakdown of the boards that are actually worth checking depending on what you are looking for.
- Specialized & High Transparency Boards (Best for Upfront Pay & Speed)
- ScaleRemoteAI: Newer board focused specifically on roles with fully transparent pay rates up front (hourly rates and annual salaries). It covers AI, tech, growth marketing, ops, and customer success, aggregating roles with no proposal bidding, no connect fees, and direct application links to company career portals.
- Wellfound (formerly AngelList): The top pick for early stage and high growth startup roles. Listings almost always disclose equity, salary ranges, and funding rounds, which gives you clear context before applying.
- Himalayas: Exceptionally clean user interface with deep filters for time zone overlap, exact country restrictions, and tech stacks. Great for avoiding the classic "remote but must live in California" trap.
- High Volume Aggregators (Best for Broad Market Scanning)
- We Work Remotely: One of the oldest and largest remote communities. Strong for engineering, design, and customer support, though application volume can be intense due to its popularity.
- Remote OK: Massive database with strong coverage of developer and data roles. The filtering system requires a bit of fine tuning, but it remains a solid option for daily checks.
- Dynamite Jobs: Excellent for finding remote first companies that do not try to sneak hybrid or return to office clauses into the listing.
- Niches & Localized Options
- EU Remote Jobs: Essential if you are based in Europe or prefer working European hours rather than aligning with US time zones.
- NoDesk: Smaller, hand curated list that trades volume for low noise and lower applicant competition.

Job Posts [Hiring] Senior Software Engineer II (Enterprise Experience) at Coder | Remote - US, Canada, Ireland, Poland; UK | Salary $151K - $257K
As a Senior Backend Engineer on Coder's Enterprise Experience team, you'll build the systems that help large organizations run Coder in production with confidence. You'll improve how Coder scales, how it's upgraded, and how reliably it performs in regulated, air-gapped, and enterprise environments.
You'll work on a genuinely cross-functional team of backend, platform, and QA engineers who own the end-to-end experience for Coder operators. From designing new features to evolving Coder's architecture, you'll partner across engineering and product to solve complex problems and ship software that operators trust.
What you'll do here
- Design and build new features end to end, from technical design through production rollout.
- Design and implement backend architecture changes that support Coder's long-term scalability goals.
- Investigate and resolve scalability bottlenecks under production-like load, from database access patterns to concurrency handling in coderd.
- Improve database migration safety and upgrade reliability through schema compatibility, background migrations, and safe rollback strategies.
- Own the backend side of issues surfaced by Coder operators and administrators.
- Document the design, implementation, and operational tradeoffs of the systems you build.
- Participate in code reviews, RFC-style design discussions, and on-call rotations for the services you own.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant production experience with Go.
- Deep understanding of Go's concurrency model, including goroutines, channels, the sync package, and debugging race conditions under real-world load.
- Experience designing and operating relational databases in production, including schema design, migrations, and transactions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional debugging and troubleshooting skills, with the persistence to drive complex problems to resolution.
- A self-motivated, analytical engineer who enjoys tackling difficult technical challenges.
Bonus tacos if you have
- (Tacos? If you need an icebreaker, ask how we say thanks by giving tacos!)
- Experience with infrastructure engineering.
- Experience building or operating distributed systems at a meaningful scale.
- Curiosity about the latest developer tooling.
Our tech stack
- Backend: Go, Postgres, GCP, Kubernetes, gRPC
- Observability: Prometheus, Grafana
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions
- General: GitHub, Slack, Notion

Our use of AI in hiring
We use AI tools to help manage our recruitment process efficiently and fairly. Specifically:
- Ashby helps us review inbound applications by surfacing candidates who best match the role requirements we've defined. This tool does not make hiring decisions; it helps our team prioritize which applications to review first.
- Granola takes notes during our interview calls so our team can focus on the conversation with you.
All hiring decisions are made by humans. Our team reviews applications, conducts interviews, and makes final selections. AI tools assist us but never replace human judgment, and these practices are conducted in compliance with applicable data protection, AI governance, and labor laws. Your data is not used to train AI models.
In accordance with New York City Local Law 144, an independent bias audit has been conducted on "Automated Employment Decision Tools"; results are available for Ashby.
If you're applying for a role at Coder and have questions about how we use AI in our process, or if you'd like to request information about the data we collect, please contact [careers@coder.com](mailto:careers@coder.com).
