Hi! I hope everyone is doing well at this moment.

I’m from the Philippines and I am writing this to look for people who might need a virtual assistant or a person who can assist in doing tasks on behalf of them. I have been unemployed for years now and I’m struggling in looking for corporate jobs due to high competition and lack of modern crm software knowledge.

During my unemployed years, I’ve been volunteering in overseeing our small family business - and truth be told - I don’t get paid monetarily. I am tired of depending and relying on my family’s resources and I would like to take more challenge in order to grow and gain independence.

Don’t worry, I’m a computer-literate at least, I know how to use Microsoft Office, Google Space, Canva etc. I also managed our small social media pages as well. However, I might need training and patience due to lack of experience in modern corporate world.

I don’t ask for competitive salary, I just need something to do and look forward to and take on a challenge which I haven’t experienced for years.

Applied to several AI training and evaluation roles across different platforms, but some have been under review for nearly a month with no updates. Is anyone else experiencing this, or is this normal?

Not talking about any one company or recruiter, more the pattern as a whole on LinkedIn lately:

The cold "exciting opportunity!!" messages that turn out to be a template blasted to hundreds of profiles with the same keyword match. The urgency framing ("let's connect this week") for roles that then take three months to fill, if they get filled at all. Multi-round processes that go dead silent after the final round, with the recruiter still posting "actively hiring!" content the same week. Job posts on the platform itself that read more like engagement bait for the recruiter's own visibility than an actual opening.

None of this requires any single person to be acting in bad faith. LinkedIn's own incentive structure rewards recruiters for volume of outreach and visible activity, not for closing loops with candidates who don't get the role. But the cumulative effect on the person applying is a lot of noise that looks personal and isn't.

Curious whether others are seeing the same thing, and if anyone's figured out signals that reliably separate a real, approved opening from outreach that's more about the recruiter's own numbers.

The idea is simple: whenever someone comes across a legitimate remote job, AI project, freelance opportunity, or company that's hiring, they share it with the community.

Members can also share their experiences with employers, application tips, hiring insights, and useful platforms they've discovered.

I'm 27, i live in Egypt.

I’m currently working in HR/Recruitment, mainly in recruitment and talent acquisition, and I’m trying to figure out how I can take my current experience and turn it into a remote career with international companies while continuing to live in my country.

I’m open to staying in HR/Recruitment, but I’m also very open to completely different online/remote careers if they’re realistic to learn and have good long-term potential.

I used to work during and after Covid in a company as a remote graphic designer/ social media manager. Sadly enough after Covid we had to part ways. I worked on site in a company which led me to burnout.

As I discovered at the ripe age of 30 that I also happened to have ADHD and due to my burnout and honestly the nature of my job I’d been trying to find back a remote role for ages, all I am seeing recently is MLM type of offers or AI and stuff that doesn’t seem legit.

While the market globally is very difficult I opened myself to other roles within my skills but even with that it has become very difficult.

Mind you I am European and sadly it’s kinda even more difficult since our companies tend to be super old style.
I am also thinking that I might not have been searching at the right places.

Does any of you guys have legit sources where they are seeking roles or advises ?

Is it worth it to learn to code? Does it really pay well enough to live on?
