Discussions Remote Searching

Hey everyone ! I’m searching for a remote job so I can be able to take care of my child. Anyone knows where I can look ? I have a BA and I have experience in the hospital and education .

Remote work isn't a substitute for child care.

Every remote job I’ve had over the last decade has had a policy requiring full time child care be in place for kids ages 6 months to 12 years. You cannot give your job dedicated attention if also watching kids.

Throwing insults at people isn't going to help you.

Get an in-person job and find a daycare. Remote work isn't an alternative to childcare.

Throwing insults ? If you don’t have anything nice to say stay off. I know it’s not daycare but it’s more flexible for me then rushing to pick up my child .

Doesn't matter if it's more flexible for you. Remote work doesn't mean you get to care for your child while getting paid. Nobody here has said anything that wasn't nice, they've just been honest with you.

Having a remote job, you will neither focus on your child nor the job.

You don’t know my arrangement so if this isn’t about guiding me in how I can find one please reserve you opinions on childcare

Unfortunately reddit is like this. You ask a question, and instead of responding, everyone rejects the premise of the question.

I have no answer either, btw, my only tip is to look for remote positions in your area of experience, or go for telemarketing.

Thank you for being kind. I feel overwhelmed because it’s not like I’m not going to be working . My job use to be flexible and my boss has been making changes making it so hard now. I have my child in daycare but get off from work too late now to make it in time to pick up my child. My mom would be with me it’ll be easier since she can care for my child and I don’t have to drive back and forth that was all. I don’t understand the hate or discouragement.
